Shangri La (Room 12)
Shangri La Motel Staff,
My name is Ryan. Currently I am staying in room 12 at the Shangri La Motel until Tuesday, October 3rd. When I checked into the Shangri La motel back on the night of Sunday, September 24th the motel impressed me. What impressed me was the friendliness of the motel staff, quietness, the non chain feeling of the motel, cleanliness of the interior/exterior and of the laundry facility.
Since my check in, my view of the Shangri La has gone down hill. The reason for my change of mind is because room attendant (maid) service to room 12 has been non-existent and that is unacceptable. At all the motels that I have stayed at for more than a night they do spot vacuuming, take the trash out, making the bed, replace the old towels with new towels, and replace used cups with new ones daily. These are the benefits of staying in a hotel or motel and not your house.
When I made my reservation back in late July, you quoted me a $290 price from the night of September 24th through the morning of October 3rd, totaling 9 nights. With me spending 10 days, 9 nights and $290 at the Shangri La I wouldnt think it would be too much to ask if you did the following in the last sentence of the above paragraph.
In late January of 2007 I will be making the move from Albuquerque , NM to Cheney , WA . At the time I will be working for a company that will have people come into Spokane , WA from time to time. These people will need a hotel/motel to stay at and so, if things improve for the rest of my visit, I will recommend the Shangri La to others and be a repeat customer. If things dont improve, I definitely will not be back and I think you should refund some of the $290, which I have already paid in full.
Thank you for taking these things into consideration. Hope to see improvements at the Shangri La soon. Please dont hesitate to call me if you have any questions; my phone number is below
Sincerely,
Ryan
