Accused us of having a pet and charged us the pet fee, even though we weren't traveling with a pet

The facility is older and cramped, but we were just looking for a place to sleep - so that wasn't the problem.
About two hours after we checked out, received a phone call accusing us of having a pet in our room and said we would have to pay the $10 pet fee. Explained that we did not have a pet with us, must have been wrong room. Person on phone then said we must have brought in all the hair on us, and we would still have to pay the pet fee; implied could charge up to extra $100 for 'illegally' bringing a pet into a non-pet room.
Apparently, charging an extra $10 was worth more than repeat customers.
