Pristine Hot Tubs by Beach, Great Rooms
By RogerT, 10/5/11
Staff extremely accommodating. We've stayed both in a Rustic cabin (cozy fireplace, good views, balcony) and the Gold Beach Inn (clean, neat, wide open views of ocean). Both were excellent value, comfortable beds. If you want a quiet, relaxing time with great views, good beach walks, and maybe a wonderful dip in their oceanfront hot tubs, we strongly recommend this place! Breakfast and wifi are decent, too.

Loved Irelands
By Lori, 3/30/10
After making reservations, I started to read the reviews on Yahoo and seriously considered cancelling my reservations. Glad I didn't. I went armed with Clorox and cleaning materials (as well as very low expectations) only to find that I didn't need them. We stayed at the Lighthouse Condo. Great place, great customer service, great price (even for spring break!). Clean and roomy. Huge bathroom, which was nice for 3 female adults and 2 kidlets. Will go back. Am sorry that some did not apparently share the same experience that I had because I really think that Irelands is a place to recommend.

Ist time, cant wait to go back
By Richard R, 1/24/10
Went for a peaceful, do nothing weekend, in the Sequoia cabin. When we got there, the power up and down the coast was out, the staff had candles and a flashlight ready for us. Told us the one place in Gold Beach serving food was. Everybody was extremely helpful and friendly. The view from the cabin to the ocean was nothing less then spectacular, Definitely worth the money, the room was large with a large fireplace in the corner with firewood neatly stacked. We highly recommend Ireland's to anybody. Next time we're going to see about one of the 4 beach houses available.

Friendly Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/3/09
The front desk girl was very funny. She knows jokes and makes you feel at home. I love the fireplace. The fire was easy to light because the kindling was very dry. I drank wine and looked at the ocean on my balcony and had a great time. It was great to have no traffic, no smog and few people on the beach. There was also a very good seafood restaurant about a block from the hotel.

People here need to learn how to treat the public
By Denise, 3/13/09
This is a beautiful location, if the owners weren't so rude, nasty, and mean. Never will I stay here again. 15 years been coming to the coast. Don't waste your money here. You will be losing a lot of customers, if you don't change your attitudes. Very poor customer service!!!!!!!!!

Bait and Switch
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/8/09
We went to Irelands for years. We would reserve a specific cabin and two years in a row we showed up and they had us in different room. We haven't been back.

Gross
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/1/08
Without question the worst place I have ever stayed. Dirty, smelly, not so much rustic as drab and shabby. They make you pay up front and then dock you with their 24 hour cancellation policy so you don't get your money back when you see how rotten the cabins are.

Very over priced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/2/08
We have been staying here for years. The previous owner was very fair with their pricing. Now it is ridiculous. I can not believe with the economy being the way it is, they have almost tripled their prices.

Great place to go with dogs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/17/07
We've stayed here 3 times now. The decor is a little too 'country' for my taste and shabby around the edges, but the location is spectacular. Most importantly they're dog lovers. You can walk your dogs right down to the beach from the room. Gold Beach is also a bit shabby, but the people are friendly and it's never busy. Where else can you go in the middle of the summer and have no one else on the beach? Skip the continental breakfast, for excellent coffee and scones head to the bookstore in town, or for gargantuan omelets there's a breakfast place in town. Restaurants are OK, not great, we usually bring one evenings worth of wine, cheese and bread and enjoy it in front of the fire. Don't miss the nearby state parks and Cape Blanco, incredible coastline.

Worst stay of our trip
By Brandie H, 7/15/07
We stayed at 5 different hotels during a drive down the OR/CA coast. This was the worst stop - we rented one of the cabins & I was hoping for rustic but cozy. What I recieved was dated & uncomfortable. The bed was terrible & the lazy boy chair in the unit was not sturdy & fell over on my 3-year old while my husband was leaning back in it a bit. We were originally give the wrong key & had to drive back to the hotel to get the right one. Breakfast was mediocre. For the price we paid, I expected a lot more.
