Mountain Hacienda Lodge, Pinetop-Lakeside

I stayed a week in this place and it was great. The owners are very nice. Close to everything.

We stayed in the "Just Like a Cabin' Suite. It was a very large room! Carpeting looked new. King bed was comfortable. I found this site while searching the web. Called directly, and ended up getting the room for $20 cheaper than listed on the website! .,,probably because it's the slow time in the Pinetop high country. Anyway, I thought that was nice. Now I'll know it pays to call the hotel DIRECTLY instead of through the website...cuz you end up getting a better deal! All in all...we were very pleased with the room Looked like a log cabin! Only thing that was really 'cheap' was the bar of soap they give you. It cracked in half while opening...it was so so small. Not a biggie! Even though we only stayed one night, it's nice to know the room had a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker. Location was great too! I RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GIVE THIS PLACE A TRY!

Nice, quiet, comfortable, owners friendly, rooms clean. One issue with leak under toilet, seemed hard to get message across. Will go back, hoping the leak is fixed or we get a different room!

I was there for the New Year's weekend just to enjoy a weekend getaway from the bustle of Phoenix. It was like a quiet heaven. I stayed in the "Old West" room at the corner of the complex in the 2nd floor. It was large room with ample space for 2 people to sleep and stay comfortably. The service was wonderful and the manager was helpful. Most of all I enjoyed the quiet and the great location. It was very close to most of the amenities and restaurants and the wilderness was just a short drive away! I had a great time and will definitely visit again.
