Introduction for Walley's Hot Springs Resort, Genoa

Return to Walley's Hot Springs Resort main page

Nestled in the privacy of 100 acres of extraordinary rain forest, the Cotton Tree Lodge is both a retreat and a base for exploration. The lodge has ten spacious cabanas all peacefully situated on the banks of the Moho River, and a main lodge with a delightful Belizean restaurant and gathering space. The guests most often arrive by boat and can immediately feel the tranquility of this jungle paradise. After resting in their cabana hammock or going for a relaxing swim, the guests can choose from all included guided activities like birding, Mayan ruin exploration, caving, sailing, horseback riding, canoeing, and hiking. The lodge has an eco-friendly bent, which includes being off the grid for power, and a composting system. The lodge staff has a particularly strong relationship with the people of the neighboring Mayan villages, and the lodge guests have the opportunity to meet community members and learn about their lifestyles.
