Econo Lodge La Crosse, La Crosse

We paid $90 for a room. Expected it to be great due to the high price. It was completely gross. The kids and i went barefoot on the carpet (which was a very dark blue, probably better to conceal stains) and when i checked the bottom of my feet and my kids feet, they were completely stained black from the digusting carpet, which i'm sure haven't been cleaned in years. Had to wash our feet and wear shoes in the room at all times. I was leery of going to bed with its dark colored blanket after my gross experience with the carpets. Toilet was very slow to flush, kept getting backed up. No microwave, or VCR/DVD player in room, beds were hard as board and uncomfortable. What a waste of money, would never go back there again!!!

No updates here. the beds are like sleeping on boards. not a lot of hospitality...way over priced for what you receive..We slept poorly and couldn't wait to leave the next morning...We wouldn't recommend staying there.

It was a complete DUMP. We booked it online not knowing just how bad it would be... we got there and they wouldn't let us see the room before checking in to it just to make sure it wasn't disgusting. So we decided to pay, which they made you pay at check-in because they KNOW they are running a dump, and we got to the room it was absolutely revolting. It wasn't clean: there were hairs on the beds, the bathroom was not cleaned properly, the room had an awful stench that would not go away even with the windows open, and the soap they provided for your hands at the sink was old, expired, and dried up. We insisted on a refund, they were rude, and not accomodating like a hotel should be. They did not apologize, and now it's been 2 weeks and still haven't received my refund. Screw you econo-lodge.

I was hoping for the VCR that they said they had on the website to catch up on my soaps, but got a fridge and microwave instead. BONUS! It made meals much cheaper being able to eat in. I had a nice stay!
