Travelodge Valleyfair Shakopee, Shakopee

This place is very nice, we've been staying there for almost a week and all the time there it was a very pleasant experience as the employees and the manager were very kind, attentive and courteous. I recommend this hotel to everybody, cleaning service was great, all was super clean and we loved every second of it there!

I loved the location. But the service from the owners is deplorable. They are rude, hard to understand and cheap. They do not care about safety or security. The security doors have no locks. Walk on in, everybody from the neighboring RV/trailer park! There is no pool in the building, it is a block away down the dirt road, shared with 3 other properties. Rooms are small, dirty and smelly. Rotten milk on continental breakfast. Garbage piled 2 feet out of the back door garbage can for 2 days! No screens on windows in rooms or hallways, flies coming in all night long. Owners have placed a camera over the continental breakfast area but are unconcerned with having keycard entrances on the doors! Ripped curtains, poor mattresses, smelly air conditioners. Spend the extra 10-20$ at another chain/neighboring property and feel safe, comfy and appreciated as a paying guest!!

Hotel claimed to offer a deluxe breakfast as well as a pool. I don't know what was so deluxe about it, they didn't even have oatmeal! Not to mention the employee in charge of the upkeep of breakfast was miserable and slow and had to be asked to refill everything. Second of all when a hotel claims to have a pool I expect the pool to be on site but not at this hotel the pool is a half a block away in another building and it's shared with the r.v. Park and it's occupants! I wouldve left early for another hotel had there been any available nearby! I would not recommend this hotel to those who are wanting to swim or have breakfast!!!

we do not like anything about this place, the staff was very rude to us, the room wasn't clean it smelled terribly. the sheet was dirty so when we ask for a new set of sheets they ask tons of qustions and told us that they will come check the room before we check out in the morning. they did not give us a new set of sheets so we just slept without it. bed wasn't comfortable, pillow sucked.......everything sucked to us....we will not going to stay or booked there ever again.

Ok, first of all we booked this place online so we did get it for very cheap but it was not worth it! We were given the wrong room twice, no screen in window, beds both broken and the remote control didn't even work!! Not to mention when we complained about our first room we were told to shut up TWICE! The staff was overly rude and we tried to avoid them the whole weekend. I strongly suggest trying to find someplace else, the ten extra dollars is well worth it. Yes, it's a convient location but I think I counted like seven other hotels or Inns in the same location. There is a Super 8 down the road that the people we were with stayed at. It happens to be owned by the same people but besides one major issue(not finding hotel reservation and getting charged double) they said there room was really nice and the people were very friendly. Your choice but seriously, I warned you!

The hotel was clean, front desk clerk was very friendly and accommodated our needs. The room was clean and had everything we wanted from a new comforter set to plenty of television channels. Our pillows and mattress were just the right "number" for our sleep. We forgot some toiletries but the front desk took care of that at no charge. The location was perfect for our trip to valley fair and we even explored the banks of the river/ fed the ducks and geese just behind the motel. Overall excellent stay at a reasonable price, would definitely stay there again.
