Super 8 Rochester South Broadway, Rochester

We loved the breakfast and shuttle service to Mayo Clinics. Saved us time and money on parking. Will look forward to other Super 8 on our way.

Great place to stay and relax. No pool, but wasn't required as we were really tired. Breakfast was an icing on the stay next morning.

After driving 11hrs nonstop all I wanted was a bed and a shower. This is exactly what I received from this Super8. The staff was VERY friendly and pleasant to talk with. The rooms are a little outdated, however wifi workes great. And the property showed signs of age. But overall I have stayed at a lot of hotel/motels, I enjoyed my stay.

Rooms were clean and big enough for extended stay. The hotel also had onsite laundry facilities. Wifi was fast and connectivity was good.

The place was nice and clean compared to other hotels around. Rates are very competitive for the service offered. Right on the major road that leads to the Mayo Clinic. The Free shuttle service to the Mayo Clinic and St. Mary's hospital was a life saver. The breakfast was offered with wide variety of items. The staff was very helpful, even going out of their way to help a stranger. The new queen beds were really comfortable. Rooms have Micro/Refrig for longer stays.

I already posted a review, but unfortunately it got deleted for no apparent reason. I was being truthful about my experience there. First of all, I agree with the other review that the manager there at the time was extremely rude. I had booked this room for business purposes, so I needed to collect a receipt from the front desk in order for my expenses to get reinbursed. Anyways, I told this manager the situation and he refused to give me any receipt, and later as I continued to talk with him, he turned his back to me and completely ignored me. I ended up having to pay for this business trip from my pocket. The other thing I noticed was that the room I stayed in reminded me of my grandma's basement. It wa loud, dark, and smelly. Half of the light bulbs were burnt out, it sounded like they had the main hotel furnace running in my room (every time it would start to run I would hear a big bang and i would jump out of my bed in the middle of the night) and lastly it was very dusty and smelt like water had come in and spolied the carpet. I definately do not stay at this hotel, I would recommend the other Super 8 in Rochester-Fairgrounds, a lot better service and rooms.

First of all the pictures are not what they appear. The room was not clean at all. We went to the front desk and the General Manager happened to be there and we told him the room was terrible. They were dirty and extremely outdated. He said well that the other half of the hotel has been remodeled and the room we got was not. His attitude was just as terrible as the rooms. I said that the pictures should not show a nice room when that is not what people get. He says this happens in every hotel. I said I pick Super 8 because of the standards they set but this one did not. He said we have other hotels that are just fine. Yeah other hotels not this one. He offered us another room which was not much better other then cleaner. He did not offer a discount or nothing. We will not recommend this hotel and will not stay again. As for the GM he needs a class or two on good business manners, I am a manager and work with the public daily and I would never treat a customer this way even if they were wrong. DON'T STAY at this Super 8!!
