Worst hotel ever
By TLY, 8/23/09
The breakfast was bizarrely horrible, frozen hard boiled eggs and packaged sweet rolls, presented in a unappetizing manner. The room and furnishings were in poor condition. When you call Days Inn costumer service to express your disatisfaction they say, "Sorry, that location is owned locally. There's nothing we can do." Days Inn should be embarassed to remain associated with this motel. Avoid it. There are other motels in nearly every direction, certainly directly across the street.

We were charged 120 to replace all the linens.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/11/09
...and the pillows. We took nothing, nothing. Our room had an obvious discoloration where a picture had been hanging, the curtains hung by a few fasteners, and only one outlet worked. Overall, the room and building were obviously run down. We didn't have enough pillows and linens but the desk person said that they had no more. When the charge came up on my credit card, we had been charged to replace all the pillows and linens in the room. They said pillows were missing, that each bed was made with four pillows, and there were two pillows on each bed when we arrived. The manager has not been available when I've called and has not returned messages when I left them. I would avoid this motel at all costs, drive to another city.

Nasty Motel On Our Trip.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/1/07
First pets should not be aloud in all the rooms,I'm A person that is not a pet lover, so keep only certain rooms for the pets, the room we stayed in was very nasty, the chairs had dog prints on them, very dirty the sheets looked dirty, the carpet was coming up,coffee pot was nasty,i would not make coffee in it,the bathroom floor was filthy, the room smelled musty and molded, all and all the room stunk, the couple with my party ,had the same kind of room, very very filthy. room numbers 120 and 121. Disgusting - Facility and Staff
By Jerry, 9/29/07
My disappointment with Days Inn Emporia started when I checked into my room on 9/14/2007 and found the toilet lid and seat laying on the floor beside the toilet. The rest of the bath room was clean and it seemed so strange to see the toilet lid and seat just lying on the floor. It was just like the cleaning crew had cleaned around the broken toilet, left it lying there on the floor, and did not bother to tell the front desk. In fact, when I called the front desk to complain the employee didn't believe me at first and only reluctantly agreed to give me a new room. Besides the non-functioning toilet in the first room, the carpet was filthy and frayed with loose threads sticking up -- especially by the door. The walls had nicks and scrapes that needed to be painted and the curtains were separated from their lining which added to the overall worn-out, dilapidated, run-down, and neglected condition of the room and the overall property. After my complaint about the toilet, the front desk employee moved me to a new room which was in similar condition as the first except that I could sit on the toilet and close the lid afterwards. In the new room, the floor lamp had a hard time staying plugged into the wall socket - keep falling out and the light would go off, the advertised DSL line did not work and the remote control for the television did not work. Both of the DSL and the romote required another call to the office, more excuses, and finally I got a new remote. The DSL never did work and even though the employee blamed the DSL service failure on my computer, my computer has worked in hotel rooms all over the USA and continues to work in hotel rooms all over the USA subsequent to my visit to the disgusting Days Inn - Emporia. Probably the most offensive part of the visit was dealing with the enormously fat person working behind the front desk. Can we say rude?????? He could have cared less out his customers. I was visiting Emporia for a wedding and most of my fellow wedding guests who stayed at this dump of a hotel have similar and worse experiences which I am sure they are sharing around the globe. My advice -- steer clear of Days Inn anywhere.

Happy Memories
By I have a beef, 7/11/07
This was the second stop of our road trip home from Grandma and Grandpa's house. It was a thousand times better then the stop before in NM. Our only problems were that we could not get the internet to work. And except for the family style restaurant across the street, there really wasn't any where to eat dinner. The continental breakfast was very good. You could even make fresh waffles, with a waffle machine. They were very good. We would definitely stay here again.
