I wouldn't stay here again
By golfgrll, 11/27/12
The front desk staff was very rude. They wouldn't move us. The tub wouldn't drain. There was a hunk of something in the bathroom sink. I think it was mold. One more tip! is to hire better people to be nice here too.

Great beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/21/11
The hotel was nice, the beach was awesome! I loved that they had chairs for me to lay out on and breakfast in the morning. I would go back again if I was in Traverse City!

Well worth the price!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/16/07
My husband and I stayed here overnight during one of shopping trips to Traverse from the Upper Penninsula. I surprised him with the "Ramance Package" which (for an extra $22) included a full size bottle of really awesome local champagne....champagne glasses...some chocolates...a rose...and a gift basket with some little shower gel and hand lotions, etc. It was well worth the little extra! And the next morning, we were simply amazed by the huge feast that was prepared in the breakfast room. Not your average "continental breakfast" by any means! This thing was a fully loaded buffet! We were so impressed by the whole experience, that I came back 2 weeks later with my daughter for a little "girls' night out". I strongly recommend staying here. You won't be disappointed!!

Don't book this on the internet!
By ThomasL, 1/9/07
My siblings and I booked two rooms on the internet for our parent's anniversary. When we arrived at Bayshore the front desk staff informed us that we only had one room and there were no extra rooms available. Even though I was holding two separate confirmation emails confirming two separate rooms for the weekend, the resort actually only allows one room to be booked per day through the internet but doesn't state that anywhere! The front desk staff were less than helpful and very rude, but did provide us a phone book to call around for vacancies in the area. We ended up getting two rooms down the street for half the price.

Great Memories!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/28/06
I will always have fond memories of The Bayshore Resort as my late father, Charles Mouch and I, his daughter, Mari-Lynne Henry stayed here on many annual fall trips while visiting the Traverse City area. The staff is exceedingly warm, friendly and very attentive to their patron's needs. It is also a clean, smoke-free environment and their breakfast room has a variety of delicious selections! The entire facility pool, etc. is cheery. I would highly recommend The Bayshore to anyone who enjoys life's best!! Sincerely, Mari-Lynne T. Henry, Holland, Ohio.

What a Beautiful Resort !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/21/06
The only request to make, which would be highly beneficial, is to have small coffee makers and refrigerators in each room. This would be very convenient for (1) anytime coffee/tea; (2) keeping water/juice/beverage cold during the hot summer. Most resorts in T.C. have these items; a definite plus. Otherwise, the Bayshore is a very elegant resort, clean, and friendly atmosphere. An additional advantage is having a larger sized eating area, compared to most...it's the greatest.

VERY NICE
Bayshore resort was a very clean, friendly, and fun hotel. When a recent snowmobiling trip to Traverse City was altered by frozen pipes at our cabin. We were forced to find other lodgings. On short notice, Bayshore resort was completely helpful and kind. The hotel is very clean, smoke-free and comfortable. Even though it was winter, and there aren't too many bay activities it was still very scenic and the view from our room was gorgeous. Like many other people have commented the breakfast was fantasic. Not like many hotels that import donuts and there you go. There are many many choices. The only thing that would influence people in going to this resort is that it is smokefree. And being a smoker myself, i didn't mind it, it seemed like it was cleaner, fresher, and very enjoyable. Just don't smoke on your belconey, you're fined like 100 dollars or something. I read it in a memo in the room it didn't happen to me :) Very very nice place to stay, i will definately be back.

Favorite place to stay
By David, 1/3/06
It isn't very often that I can find a place to return to every time I come to the area. Bayshore is one of the best hotels that I have stayed at. They are the standard for any other hotel I visit.

Great Location and Big, Clean Rooms!
By KimberlyC, 11/7/05
This was a great hotel to stay in. We stayed here on a recent trip to see the color change in Traverse City. It was a big room with a beautiful view of the bay. Very, very clean and quiet! The beds weren't the most comfortable in the world, but it was a great place overall. Nice complimentary breakfast in the morning.

go elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/6/05
when the power went out the staff was not hlepful or courteous and took an "oh well" attitude about everything from the lack of amenities to my wheelchair bound aunt stuck on the 3rd floor. I am willing to give them another try.
