Budget Inn, Mount Pleasant

I LOATHED this place.I had such an awfull expereience I dont think I'll ever go anywhere with 'budget' in the title again! When my friend and I got there,we saw the outside.We decided not to go back yet since some of the nicest places are dumps on the outside.But we went in and no change,so we decided to look at the room first at least.We look,and puke was all over the bed,spiders were dead on the dresser,and the bathroom was worse.Someone had had diareah and it was unflushed we guessed for some time...say a whopping 2 days! The room REEKED!the tub was absolutly filthy,and mabey a week old wheel of cheesed was left in there,unplugged!How could it get any worse you ask? Oh, It can!the bed was full of lice! I ran outside,puked,and just left with my friend because they refused flatly to refund or money,and went down to the comfort inn.I didn't ever think untill then that I would be so happy to see a clean toilet!

We booked this room online and requested a non-smoking room. The first thing was when we asked to see the room the attendent took us to a musty smelling smoking room. He stood there waiting for our response and wouldn't leave. After refusing the smoking room he showed us a smaller non-smoking room. We were not comfortable staying in such a run-down, dingy, filthy place but he refused to refund our money which we foolishy paid on arrival as he requested. The beds were clean so we agreeded to stay. With only 2 tiny towels for 4 people I went to the desk for more and watched the attendant refund another couple their money for the night--only 5 minutes after telling us that it was company policy--NO REFUNDS! Also, the price he tried to charge me was $10 more than what I reserved online for the night. Please don't stay here unless you are desperate!! believe the reviews, they are true, I just had not seen any before I reserved. The one star I awarded was for the sheets on the bed being clean.

Secured stay with a credit card. Arrived, early afternoon and the room was not made up. Was asured would be cleaned and made up by return from our event. When we returned at 10:15pm it was still uncleaned from the previous guests. The manager claimed they had no other rooms. We asked for a credit on our card and it was refused, twice, after calling the manager by phone each time. We couldn't stay there and left. Now we have to settle with our credit card company.
