Cedar Motor Inn, Marquette

I stayed here once without incident. They used a credit card that was given to them online (my fathers). This time they refused. Now I can understand saying this is not our policy. They took it last time so they could have easily have taken it this last time and made sure I realzed it was the last time. Instead I was forced to transfer money into my debit card (money I was not planning on spending) while the owner and receptionist looked on smuggly. I soooo want to support local business' instead of chains but I will NEVER be back here. I told them that and they could have cared less. Must be nice to have a business that doesn't require you to make an occasional exception to make sure you keep good customers.

Lumpy bed, breakfast was a joke. Loud partying next door. Wouldn't stay again.

We have stayed here many times during races or other events in Marquette. They are always friendly, the place is clean, the pool and hot tub are clean. It's a good value!

Pros: The pool is very nice although the spa is kind of small. Nice and clean. Cons: Rooms are small, mattress is hard as a rock, had to wait at the front desk for someone for about 10 minutes then they treated me like I was inconveniencing them. You better pay with a credit card because if you don't, you have to pay for your room plus an extra 75 dollar deposit fee, which they didn't mention to me on the phone. Overall a nice stay, but I won't be going back anytime soon.

Rooms are always clean as is pool area. Staff is the best! Super nice and accommodating. Price is reasonable and we stay here every visit now.

We've been here several times now - part of our Autumn vacation planning, to drive up and spend a week at Cedar Motor Inn. Everything about this place is 1st class.

We have stayed at the Cedar Motor Inn several times and have recommended it to several friends. It is a good deal for the price. Everything is clean and they are very friendly. Last year we had a wedding to go to in Mqt and we received a good rate (not as good as the Cedar Motor Inn) at a hotel across the street. We decided to stay at the across the street motel to be closer to the wedding party--we were very disappointed--the staff was not as friendly, their pool hours were less and if we had to do it again, we would have stayed at the Cedar Motor Inn.

We travel through MQT twice a year on the way to our house in the Copper Country and always overnight at the Cedar Motor Inn. Our flights always arrive later in the evening and after 15 hrs of traveling we're bushed and ready for a good nights sleep. The rooms are very comfortable, and the cottages are pet friendly. If you're into the Ritz, this isn't for you. If you're into being welcomed back like you're one of the family in a small town, the Cedar Motor Inn is the only place to stay in Marquette.
