Clean, convenient, considerate employees
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/09
We were well taken care of by the friendly employees, the room was clean and had a nice little refrigerator & microwave, which was helpful. Digging for diamonds with our grandchildren was fun and so was cooling off at the State Park waterpark. We enjoyed a few meals at Buddy's Cafe just across the street. Would stay there again.

Better than expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/09
We would stay again at this hotel in a heartbeat. The staff were nice and the room we stayed in was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I was concerned about staying at the hotel because it is not a name brand hotel, but the room we had was great.

watch your items especially trucks
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/21/08
this was a nice place to stay if you like being ripped off and then called a liar. I had a receiving hitch on my truck and the last night i backed in as to have easy time to pack up somewhere in night my hitch was stolen, they had to break the lock to do so . i did not realize it till we stopped for the night and i immediately call queen of diamonds Inn when i realized it was missing as it was there the night before but as I have it on most time, I am use to it being in the way getting to back of truck. i was told to call manager on Monday but as i did not tell them before we left there were not responsible. I called on Monday and basically was told i was lying about my hitch i do have pictures, but i should give name and mgr would call me ..that was 7/29/08 its now 8/21/08 i have called several time still no reply. i am out $376.90. i did not ask for all but as there are no signs about theft responsibility i honestly believed the hotel would help ..stupid me! so tie all down and hope for best i guess honesty is not always honored!!!!

Not bad but not a great value
By Sheila, 07/02/08
It was a nice place but a bit expensive for a plain room. You walk into a building and get your key and then pull around to your room, couldn't park in front of your room if you came in after dark. I have stayed in much nicer places for the same amount of money. The other places had better conveniences as well. While there there were people trying to get the room for the price advertised online(59.00) but she refused saying it wasn't their ad. But I found the same price online but ended up paying right at 100.00 for one night. While not a bad place if you like value for your money not a good choice. Pool was to small for the place as well. I never understood why people aren't bright enough to figure out if you have three floors of rooms then a tiny pool will not be big enough.

I would stay here again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/08
This was a very nice, quiet, older hotel. Family atmosphere. Very clean. The staff went out of their way to accomidate us. Extra towels, roll away bed, extra shampoo. They even put on a pot of coffee in the office in the afternoon after I asked where I could get a cup! Be warned: The laundry machines were all broken. The hotel guests try to wash all their muddy, rock filled, diamond digging clothes in them. To be fair: Without an attendent in the laundry room 24/7, I really don't see how any hotel in that town could keep their washing machines up and running.

Positive Stay at the Queen of Diamonds
By Elaine, 06/14/08
We had a very Positive stay at the Queen of Diamonds Inn, the largest and nicest hotel in town. Very Clean, Quiet, Safe. Excellent Continental Breakfast that is included in the price. Only 2 miles from the Diamond Park. Friendly Service. This is a very friendly small town. The restaurants are all excellent. Great friendly service, good food, reasonable prices. El Rancho, Maggies, Buddies are excellent restaurants on the same street.

best trip ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/08
There were three of us, seniors, that spent three nights at Queen of Diamonds Inn. The cleanest room we have ever had. Spotless bath room, sparkling bathtub. Smelled so good the whole three days we were there. When we arrived we were told it was newly renovated. It was wonderful. Loved the rocking chair outside the door. Service was great. Most meals were eaten at Buddy's across the street. Very good meals. And the price was right.

By just me, 05/10/08
Don't believe $50!! We made advance reservationa and it was 89. They get really pissy with you if you mention 50. We didn't find any diamonds but we were covered in bug bites(Bedbugs)The floor was gross and lots of flies.Terrible Breakfast NOT A GOOD PLACE! Overpriced! :(

Great place to stay. Beware $50.00 dollar a night is not correct.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/23/07
The location of the inn was great. The rooms were spotless and the pool was so much fun. Just down the street on the town square were the best two little shops you will ever see. It was fun for my new wife and I. The breakfast was small but, go across the street for a good breakfast. And last the office help was great. If i had a question about anything in town they were there too help.. Hope to see you all soon..
