Comfort Inn At Carowinds, Fort Mill

This Hotel is the worst hotel i have ever been to, The Owners are VERY rude and have horrible skills on how to run a hotel, The breakfast was terrible everything looked like it had been used a couple times and the room was so dirty it didnt look like any1c had cleaned it all, i actually has to move rooms. The front desk is rude and i called down a couple of times and no one answered, when i finally went down the lady was sittin back there eating and this was third shift. I dont think anyone should go there

I had to stay in this motel because of Carowinds. Other than that this motel stinks. The toilet runs all nite. I called the front desk n they said they will take care of it next day which didnt happened. Its too expensive for one nite when there is nothing special. I ask this mean employ about the price (after i paid for it) his answer was there is another motel 6 if you want cheap you can stay down there.. I wanted to move then I was like never mind let me see wats good in this motel. BUT POOR CUSTOMER SERVIE. Pool is great. shower doesnt run good. Shower handle comes off and its not accurate. where it says cold actually its really hot. i almost burnt my foot. beds are comfort but tiny. Breakfast is not good. Waffle gets burnt on one of the waffle machine. I ate breakfast n got sick. couldnt enjoy the carowinds park up until 1pm cuz my stomach was feeling good. Now I m staying at Motel 6 right next to the comfort inn. But I will never go back to stay even they offer me for free. Customer service is the key that they don’t have in the evening. Afternoon staff was good though.

We stayed at Comfort Inn Carowinds 7/08. 7/09 the credit card we used the year before was charged over $900. American Express is working on it, but said it had to be an inside job. It is also a filthy dump.

Well, I never got to book a room. The person I was talking to wouldn't stop eating long enough to carry on a conversation. Very annoying to say the least!

We recently spent 1 night here. The hotel is a dump. The only good things is the view of Carowinds and the discount tickets. The "double" beds were tiny. Even 1 person would be smushed in it. All night long we had kids running and screaming up and down the hallway. The staff obviously didn't care. The hotel was trashy. And expensive! 120 dollars a night for this. It should be 75 or at the most 80!

It does have a good view of Carowinds.The bad thing was the double beds were basicly a single bed.In the elevator there was a cup from the night before and the next moring it was still in it.The last bad thing was around 10:15 p.m. there was kids running up and down the floor and laughing and almost screaming.I will never go back unless I have to!

The hotel is expensive as compared to other motels in the area. Breakfast was not well stocked & we had to call the front desk to replenish the items twice. The toilet kept running all night & when we informed the desk,we were told to wait till next day morning when maintenance arrives.There was Bread crumbs on floor & ketchup on the walls by the night stand. Ants were all over by the microwave/refridgerator. We were not pleased by the service.

I recently stayed 3 nights in the Comfort Inn at Carowinds and it was perfect in every way - modern, quiet, clean, comfortable beds, abundant breakfast consisting of a variety of foods, convenient to I-77, to Carowinds, and to Charlotte. This was a pleasant surprise to me as I had stayed at this same Comfort Inn about 5 years ago and had a VERY bad experience. In the meantime, the Inn was bought by new owners and they have everything in "ship shape." I will DEFINITELY stay there again!

Nice staff, comfortable bed, and great location. Thought there would be more noise, since the hotel is located so close to Carowinds. Pretty clean. The water was a little too hot. TV remote didn't work well, but staff probably would have repaced it had we asked. Would stay here again.

We chose this hotel for the proximity to Carowinds. It is literally in walking distance, which was really nice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and while many hotels do not these days, they offered us a military discount which saved us quite a bit. The price was very reasonable (even without the discount) for the location and the fact that it includes breakfast-- and not just some bagels and muffins like some hotels. There were freshly made waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, pastries, and much more. Our room overlooked the pool which was great for the kids. My husband enjoyed with work out room. The pool and the rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. We were VERY pleased, and if we ever go back to Carowinds, we will absolutely stay here. The ONLY downside was that the elevator wasn't working during our stay, but being on the third floor, it wasn't bad so this really isn't a complaint.
