Didn't even get a chance....
By Shaunti, 5/22/12
I never even stayed at this place. The inadequate, lousy customer service I received while simply trying to book a room was enough of a warning for me!

Not alot of positives....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/2/11
dis- dirty rooms, outdated rooms, room keys needed to be replaced 5 times on mag door. smelled like they use deodorizer instead of cleaner in rooms, murphy bed still had dirty sheets on it at check in. and a pair of nylons tied to one leg of bed.......wow. outdated check in procedure, copies of your license left on front counter for hours, while staff rudely checks people in. Manager defends all these problems with the comment. "we are booked solid thru July, it cant be that bad" Well it is. look else where for family destination. Pros- beach was visually clean, however check the 10 most polluted beach list and Myrtle Beach is Number 8. Lifeguard staff - very proactive in keeping the residents safe during riptides. place has general store, bowling alley, and numerous pools. but I would have rather slept on the beach than in the majority of the rooms. Reminded me of old fort lauderdale during the rowdy spring break days....

Sucked
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/23/10
We got there and they wouldnt even let us check in and we had a reservation made 6 months ahead. We said 4 adults 1 child and we had an ocean front view. it said lodging included (which means 1 roll in bed) they did not give us that and we did not have an ocean front view we got put on the first floor and got to see the kiddy pool and trees. it took them 2 days to bring us towels we went to a laundry mat and washed our own. there was a bug crawling out of the bathtubs drain we reported that and nothing happened we stayed for 7 nights and 8 days. we had hot water only on the last day they said that a heater blew and it would be fixed in 5-6 hours it ended up being 7 days they have cameras in there parking garage but they dont work someone broke into our vehicle and stole stuff but they couldnt find out who because there cameras dont work. they dont care about there guests all they care about is money we had prank calls every night and we even asked to get our call log looked at to see what room it was from and they said it would be 50 dollars. the room service will take your towels and blankets and stuff and wont give you new ones. Since they did not give us beds for 5 like they said they would we had someone sleep on pool mattresses which he is now going to a back specialist because its messed up. the bathroom is really small and the beads are hard there not comfy.

HOTEL LOST MY BANK CARD!
By Angela Dyke, 6/22/10
WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN!!! Me and my boyfriend ATTEMPTED to stay there last Saturday night...after checking in, we decided to go to the pool and listen to karaoke. Had a great time up until it was time to cash out with the bartender...HE LOST MY BANK CARD! Now how do ya lose a card that is supposed to be kept in a safe place?! I asked to speak with a manager, however, there wasnt one available...funny! I then demanded a refund, which IVE YET TO SEE SHOW UP IN MY BANK ACCOUNT! It only took 5 mins to post to my account, but when I called and asked where it was this morning, they said it could take 7-14 days! WOW! Took five mins to take $250.00 but 7-14 days to give it back! SO IF YOU DO STAY HERE, ID DEFINITELY NOT GIVE YOUR BANK CARD TO THE BARTENDER...THE MALE ONE!!!

BEST PLACE WE'VE FOUND FOR THE MONEY!
By LYNN SLOAN, 6/20/10
we have stayed at the coral beach for several years now, and just recently returned home, we was there 6/6 thru 6/12/2010. All motel's have problems, and what problems we have had, with in one hour usually all problems have been taken care of, most within only a few minutes. To me if a preson has a big problem at the coral beach resort, probally that person should stop and take a good look at his or her self, i would say they are the problem, meaning bad attitude or lack of respect for people. We always find the guest there more than glad to hold the door or elevator for you, or pick something up for you if you drop it and your hands are full. You recieve what you give i've found. I'm willing to bet if a family goes to the coral beach resort looking for a great vacation, and has a good outlook on life, it will probally be the best vacation they have had in many years.

NO HOSPITALITY. VERY RACIST PLACE!
By dandrea, 6/9/10
From the day we got there it was terrible. Me and my friends (a total of three) decided to stay at CORAL BEACH RESORT IN MYRTLE BEACH, SC. Before we got there we ask to be on the 2nd floor, they put us on the 12th floor. After explaining why we didnt want to be that high, they put us on the 3rd floor. In the day time, front desk was okay but at night we didnt know who they were. We were also harassed by the security guard (he works from 10pm to I guess 7am) not once but 4 TIMES during our stay. EVERY SINGLE PERSON WE SPOKE TO (except the 4 people we met from St. Louis) DID NOT SPEAK BACK. Even the people we met from st. louis said the same thing which was the reason they shorten there stay. They were going to stay 4 days but after the way they were treated, they left in 1 day. If you are black or white, they will not speak. So much happen I would need 2 pages to type. Overall, if you are from a city where everybody get along, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL because u will not get the same hospitality in return as you would get at home.

Very Enjoyable
By Mike and Sharon, 5/29/10
Just left the Coral Beach Resort, had a great time. We(myself, husband & adult son) stayed there 5/23-5/28 had an oceanfront king executive suite, everything was great, staff was very pleasant, I requested a blanket for the murphy bed & housekeeping delivered it to our room within 10 minutes. Sure, the rooms may not be the newest decor, (we don't care about that). Everything was clean & worked fine: tv, shower w/plenty of hot water, blow dryer, lights, air, fridge, doors, microwave, did not use the stove so can't comment on that. They have several great pools, easy access to the beach, LOVED the karaoke at the bar (& the bar) every night 7-11 good entertainment & some good talent as well. Had breakfast each morning at the buffett, really good food & price. Walked a few blocks to the pier & the new boardwalk, fun. Price comparable to everyplace around there with similar amentities. Would definately recommend & would absolutely stay there again!!

Overrated
By RIP, 5/12/10
Totally out of date..tube TV's,worn-out carpet, room smelled like cigarette smoke the entire 5 days I was there.Had a 2 room suite and no bedding for the Murphy bed.Bedding was old and dated.Carpet was terrible, thought I was staying at the Twilight Surf which is the biggest dump in MB.This is a 59.00 a night highrise, charging 200.00 a night. The pluses....Karaoke is a hoot at night.Pool bar and band in the afternoons are fun.Remodel people, and enforce your No Smoking in the room rule.

Not Impressed
By mark loubier, 12/29/09
Customer service was poor. Bowling Alley did not set up pins correctly. Restaurant not even open in the evening. Bring your own towel to pool and you can't get an extra pillow brought to your room

Nice for the price
By TopNotch, 7/14/09
The price of the stay was great. Perfect location. The staff was nice and friendly. Housekeeping staff was wonderful. However, the resort should consider updating rooms to include wireless internet inside rooms, replacing carpets, replacing tube tv's for flat screens, and updating appliances in kitchen. The rooms need an entire make-over. The microwave in the room didn't workat all and was replaced with one with an electrical problem - this can be dangerous. The kitchen floor tiles were popping off, and the carpet was really dirty. It was beyond needing a shampoo or steam clean, it needed to be replaced. The pools and hot tubs were nice for the most part. The indoor pool was really nice. The lazy river needs a stronger current to make the people float around correctly. The Marketplace had good breakfast and the grill that stays open until 4pm had good hamburgers. The pizza delivery place nearby that puts flyers on the room doors everyday is really nasty.. The pizza taste like cheap frozen pizza. Kareoke was entertaining. The drinks at the bar was nice. Overall it was a nice stay but it's not luxury..Just average. There is no room service, no food available in this hotel after 6pm.
