Go anywhere else!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/2/11
I stayed here one night with a band coming through St Simon's, and we were disgusted. Here are some of the things I found: roach carcasses on the floor and in the toilet, dead bird on the ledge outside my window, tiny rooms and beds, heavy dank smell, poorly lit and unventilated bathroom, outside pool filled in with dirt. I don't know why anyone would think this is nice place to stay. Go anywhere else!

10 YEAR LEASE TO SEA ISLAND EXPIRES IN 2018
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/8/10
Wonderful motel was leased to Sea Island in 2008 as part of the resort overhaul plan, as a place to house the Junior Staff. Not available at this point to guest rentals. Pool has been filled in with sand. We'll see if lease continues under the new owners of Sea Island when the dust settles from the August 2010 bankruptcy. So far, lease is still being honored and motel is set aside for temporary resort staffers only.

serenity by the sea
By teresa, 12/2/08
This truly is the kind of place that you want to keep a secret. I have been going to this special place since 1967 and without fail the service and accomodating attitude of the staff is priceless. I have stayed many other places on St. Simon's Island but this is the BEST. Chatting with the staff is as pleasurable as going to the beach. Thank you.

Location,Location,Location, Highly Recommend !!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/15/08
I like the fact that it is American owned, location, price, clean, and friendly. This "motel" is like something preserved from your childhood. Cute motel court with small old school pool and trees dripping with Spanish moss. We only see old postcards, pictures, and movies now of how family owned motels use to be(I'm only 30). Little seems to have changed since the creation of this wonderful hotel. It has been well preserved. We liked parking the car and not having to drive. Just 50 yards across the street is the best restaurants on the island and three or four taverns. We could go out late night and not worry if we had a few too many drinks. Also great for those who like to fish. One night we walked across the street to the pier and caught blue crabs and some small sharks. If you want a place close to the nite life and pier this it. If you are expecting Ritz Carlton service, you should stay at the King & Prince. Funny when I tell people about this place and they say they've stayed there too. Small world or great little secret!!!

NO OTHER PLACE TO STAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/08
I have been going to the Queen's Court for over 30 years. I have stayed at other places when I was a child but now that I have my choice I would never consider staying anywhere else. It's a family tradition. Everything about the place and family mesh together to give you the feel off "Old Southern Hospitality" and "Family Values". Yes, it may be older but everything gets better with age. New could never be cleaner.

My daughter thinks staying here is better than going to Disney World!
By sp, 4/6/08
My family and I have stayed here twice, May 2006 & June 2007. The last time, we gave our 6 year old daughter the choice of going here or back to Disney World. She chose Queens Court! The rooms were always clean, the pool sparkling and the staff was very friendly and helpful and treated you like family. They were always quick to fix a problem or recommend a restaurant or somewhere to visit. For those who are looking for a "luxary resort" with room service and a staff that is only concerned with whether all their rooms are filled, then this is not the place to stay. But, if you are looking for a clean, quiet, place that you feel at home in, then this is the place for you!

Old and dingy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/28/07
The location is great. Its so conveniently located that you can park your car and never move it again. Its just steps to the village restaurants, shops, pier and lighthouse. That is the only positve thing that I can say about this tired, old, run down motel. It looks nothing like the photo on the website, reason being that the photo is a painting. The rooms smelled of mildew, no hairdryers, tiny bathrooms, old dirty carpet and old pillows. For 100.00 a night there are better choices.
