Relax and explore...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/12/10
The innkeepers, Ellen and Ed, are extremely gracious and welcoming. Breakfasts, thanks to Ellen in the kitchen, are very special. Located near wineries, history, small towns of the Shenandoah Valley and beautiful walks and with very nice grounds. Quiet and relaxing, with plenty of chairs under cool trees. Rooms are VERY nice, and the innkeepers make staying there a pleasure. We will return, and recommend it to our traveling friends.

The Great Escape
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/23/09
Extremely clean and 5 min. walk to Shennandoah River. Most rooms offer fireplace and canopied four poster bed. Proprieters, Ed and Ellen both friendly and warm. Ambience and wonderful breakfast included for a reasonable price. We are returning for a 2nd visit in September 2009 with four other family members and will stay two nights this time. Only 2 hours from. from Washington and adjacent Md. suburbs. Ed is glad to share with visitors the history of their one time home that develped into this rustic wonderful Inn. Would hold both a family reunion or wedding. Small town of Edinburg is worth visiting as well as volunteer- run civil war museum in Woodstock. Near by Winchester also has a wonderful museum.
