Antebellum Southern Charm

The Woodfield Inn is beautiful, a charming manor surrounded by acres of lush forest and meadows in Flat Rock Forest. It is a wonderful bit of history, but!!!!
Don't brng your lap top, and there are no phones in the room! Surprise to anyone who needs to do a little business- this is the old south! Plus, if you are a woman with big bags, you will need to haul them up the steps yourself- the staff is not that accomodating (for $150/night)- another surprise! Plus, all rooms share the same veranda (= loud, no privacy whatsoever), which is great if you either know everyone or there's no one else staying (but then it's really creepy)- the rooms are small and stuffy, there is a lot of hallway and outside noice, and personally, I would not go back! Go have an awesome brunch there, and tea on the veranda!
