nice place to stay
The place is like a little haven, Maqelle, her mom, and dad are delightful.
The cottages are cozy and really have everything you need for a quiet rest and relaxation. No! They don’t have TV. But when you need a rest, you need a rest from everything, even the NEWS. It’s a time to enjoy nature, you can cook in the furnished kitchens, or travel to a near by town of Sylva, or Franklin. Both have nice restaurants, and shops to go into and enjoy. It’s a small drive away from Cherokee as well as Highlands. Both are worth seeing. If it’s cool out you can have a fire in the real wood burning fireplaces. The cottages we have stayed in (we been there several times) have always been clean. The “Romancers” have a jetted tub and a steam sauna. There is a pond that you can catch fresh trout and take back to your cabin and cook. (They even have a recipe at the cabin for you to try).
My favorite is #5, it is the most original, most of the cabins were built in the 30”s and I love the look from the past. I like to sit and visualize who have been there before me. Please don’t over look this little place, it’s not the Ritz’s but it is quaint.
