My fiance took me here for Christmas one year. It was an amazing place. I had caught the flu the night before and decided to go anyways. The bed we had was so soft and comfy that I felt better the next morning. When we came back from dinner, one of the inn keepers told us how to get to the nearest hospital in cause my fever got any higher than 102.7 (which was what I was at.) He came up twice that night bearing gifts of hot water to make my "flu tea" that he stated would help me feel better. After such service like this, we decided that this was going to be the perfect place for our honeymoon this june!

my husband and myself had decided at the last minute to have a weekend away in st augustine - the carriage way is where we found ourselves staying! the first thing one of the owners did was show us a map of st augustine and advised us on where to go for the best experiences ! then he showed us a very quaint room that had the most comfortable bed, pillows and bedding! (two perfect nights sleep! yes!) - we were encouraged to mingle with the other guests, enjoy the porch both upstairs and downstairs, and drink the complementary beers, wine and sodas! breakfast was simply wonderful - the service was EXCELLENT - very thoughtful, kind and friendly hosts, made this experience one that we will never forget - and all the recommendations were SPOT ON! i would highly recommend this b&b for its location, cleanliness, and high level of customer service! a home away from home!

The couple who own and run this place are amazing. Every morning, we had a delicious breakfast waiting for us in the formal dining room. They keep bicycles in the shed behind the main building which are free for guests to use. After a night on the town, we returned to find a plate of chocolate chip cookies and ice cold milk waiting for us in the parlor! Also, (don't know if they still have this), they have a large cooler under the stairs filled with soda, wine and beer (complimentary for guests). The rooms were lovely, and had old world charm (claw-foot tubs, lace draperies). I can't wait to go back in the spring! R.A. Robinson, Orlando
