Don't stay at all
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/11
First, Anita, the front desk clerk is very rude and obtrusive. She would not agree with anything we said about the rooms. The rooms are very musty and old. When we asked why there were no smoke detectors in the room, we were told that room was not supposed to be occupied due to safety issues. This was the second night we were there. Ice machine doesn't work, bathroom nasty, AC doesn't work, mold growing everywhere, too many things to mention. The only thing good I can say about the place is it has a great location.

Overpriced and smelly!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/12/10
This was not worth the $175 a night that we paid. The rooms smell and are damp and musty. The vending machine was broken and the older lady at the desk was very un-accomodating. The other staff is very friendly, though. There are many other hotels in that location that do no smell and have more ammenities. Don't waste you time!

Piece of crap... Dont stay here!!!!!!!!!!!
By YuCa, 5/1/10
I'm going to be as honest as I can on this review. If you want to go to St. Augustine, stay in Orlando and drive to St. Augustine. You only need one day to see everything, if not stay only one night. All the hotels are over price and the conditions are very poor, specially this one. Our room was dirty and dusty, we even ended up with a sore throat. When we approach the front desk we talk to Anita, she didn't believe what we were saying. Thank god we had photos. The customer service is awful. Look elsewhere. This place is disgusting.

not worth it
By killer, 11/15/06
The newly refurbished rooms are designed and furnished for people 5'6" and shorter. Anyone taller must squat to use the mirrors. The carpet was installed without a pad. Hot tub closed, vending machines limited to sodas, no internet access, "breakfast" in the morning extremely limited with no decaf coffee, front desk in the morning had a bad attitude. Maid entered room two hours before check-out to make up the room, even though luggage was still on the bed....had to ask her to leave. Oh did I mention that there is construction noise in the motel from 10 AM to 5 PM?

GREAT LOCATION
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/11/05
While we visited St. Augustine, we decided to stay at the Bayfront, which is located in a perfect place, w/in walking distance to all the historical sites. Our visit was just after Thanksgiving '05, and the hotel was just starting on an upgrade for ALL the rooms. The only room that really needed to be upgraded was the bathroom, in our opinion, however, managment was upgrading not only the bathrooms, but the bedroom areas. When you do stay here, do ask for the 2nd floor, fantastic view of the bay/ocean. This hotel is 1 block from the bridge going over to Anastasia Island too. If we did have to complain about 1 thing, I would say the continental breakfast was rather sparse, but something is better than nothing. When we visit St. Augustine, which is a VERY romantic city, we'll stay at the Bayfront! Thanks so much...

Not worth it.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/31/05
We went for my birthday to get away from the kids. The property is well situated in St. Augustine and it was easy to walk to every thing. There was no parking so the location is really important. The room was not worth the price as it took us almost 45 minutes to put hot water in the jacuzzi. The breakfast was basically bagels, croissants and cereals, with a little fruit thrown in. The staff was nice and did try to accomodate requests but for the price, you can do better.
