Sunrise Motel, Owego

The web site makes this look like a cute little family run motel like it used to be in the 60's. Well, the place is still in the 60's-tiny rooms, hard beds, noisy A/C, lime green tile in the super tiny bathroom, old 19"tv. The room was shabby, dirty and well worn. The place is two miles outside of Owego-aka the middle of nowhere-in a kind of redneck looking area. I was here on business in this motel only because all the places in Owego were booked for a college graduation. The bed was very hard, lumpy, and the sheets didn't feel clean. The "continental breakfast" was prepackaged honey buns, coffee and hot water! Good news- Wireless internet was free and worked well, and there was hot water in the shower. I found crumbs and tissue waste on the floor, and something else I won't mention. The price is low, and if that matches your expectations, then maybe you will like this place. AAA might need to inspect again....the web site paints a much prettier picture!
