the place was gross, mold and mildew in the tub, frig. dirty linen, did not feel safe

This motel is so awsom who wouldnt want to stay here? the managers were so nice! we even got complementary water bottles. no one ever did that in any other place v stayd at and if they did it cost a lot of money. Also the room was so comforting like i was alredy home. Any way overall i would highly reccomend this motel!!!! and i will definitly keep coming bac for as long as i liv.

located on the other side of the factories and rail road tracks - you definitely cannot see the lake - the lobby was dirty and smelly - there was no restaurant and no indoor pool - the mattress as probably as old as the motel - the sheets were yellow, stained and thin like a cheese cloth - light bulbs were taken out of the light fixture - the tub overfilled with water as we were taking a shower - there were all sorts of bugs flying around the room - the smell of mold and dirt was burning my nostrils - spider webs were everywhere - the air conditioning was as noisy as a lawnmower - definately spend the extra few dollars to feel safe and satisfed -

Yucky, dirty, smelly. The sheets were stained and there literally was trash between the blankets. Broken curtain rod, broken tiles in the bathroom. Nasty carpet, and filthy chairs. BUT! I had my own blankets and pillows already, kept my shoes on, and used baby wipes to clean whatever I absolutely had to touch. It had a roof and walls, the AC worked great (even if it was loud), the fridge worked, and the towels were clean (even if they did have holes). There was enough toilet tissue for my brief stay (I only needed a place to sleep, I drove all day the day before and was going to be driving all day the next day), the TV worked, the remote even worked (after I cleaned the gak out from between the buttons!), and I didn't see any critters. There were fresh soap and shampoo packets and fully wrapped water cups. I guess the price was reasonable for the area (didn't research it, just had to stop somewhere!), and judging from the outside you can tell what you're getting yourself into. If you just need a place to sleep, it works, but if you get grossed out easy, keep driving. Just tell yourself it's just like camping...

i would say spend more 30 to 40 to stay at some other place. Water after shower was flooding in the bath tub...no toilet papers......leakage from commod....nasty smell.....we were feeling as if we were in slums....comforters were washed may be 6 months back......no way....F or lower grade.....

Ther are the best people in the Dunkirk Motel and it has better hospitality than any hotels' I've ever been in. Also they have very clean rooms. Better service and better stay is what I have experienced.

Well I liked the price. There is no doubt that whoever gave this place 5 stars were either being funny or it was the owner of the hotel. I stayed here because I was back for SUNY Fredonia's homecoming. I decided to pay $62 instead of $116. The room was as expected. The walls were yellow, there were socks (not mine) hanging in the shower. I even took a picture of the fridge because it so gross it was funny. I brought an air mattress and sheets and slept on that. If you're looking for a Days Inn experience, pay the money and go to the Days Inn. This place is a dump, but it does have four walls and a roof.

The only posititive reviews they have received on this motel must have been from people they paid to write them. Ugly, dirty, smelly, musty. The tub was chipping and as you showered pieces were floating in the tub. Never any toilet tissue. Worst place ever, better off sleeping in your vehicle!!! What continental breakfast? Left over food on the floor? Bed linens stained and yellowed look like they were never washed. The road that the motel is on is heavily traveled by semi trucks and trains blow their horn every hour. My husband is an electrician and spotted many unsafe violations throughout the motel (inside and outside), major fire hazard!

I liked everything about the motel. The service was great, the coffee was great, the room was great, and everything was great. I would reccommend the Dunkirk Motel to anyone, including fisherman since it's right next to the Great Lake Erie which has a park. To anyone who says that there is something wrong about the motel they were really drunk.

The rooms are in bad condition and owner have attitude problem,looks to me they don't have an experince for service industries.poor services.poor management,old mentality.compare to chain hotels rate too high.
