It was amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/08
I can't begin to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect. The owners and guests that we met were very friendly and helpful. I will be back as soon as the opportunity arises! The room we had was on the beach and very comfortable. The view magnificent. I strongly suggest that you have dinner at the neighboring resturant, Fanizi's. Service and food was fantastic. We will be returning on a regular basis and recommending the Surf Side to all of our friends.

Don't go here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/07
Made reservation to stay and had to cancel in plenty of time. I was charged a 75% cancellation fee!!! When I protested I was told this was normal and was spoken to very rudely by the person at the desk. Don't waste your money on this dump!

Just wonderful!
By will, 01/23/07
I went back and forth between this property and two others. I settled on the Surfside Inn and am I glad I did. The staff was simply wonderful. The location can't be beat. So the rooms could be updated but they were clean and neat. We were on the top floor facing the water. The sunrises were breathtaking. I only wish they had wireless internet in the rooms. Nonetheless I can't wait to return. It is the only place I will stay in Provincetown.

WOWED at the Surfside!
By Christina d, 08/23/05
We loved this place and hated to leave after a brief stay. Aside from the gorgeous view of Cape Cod Bay, the continental breakfast was awesome! Can you imagine making you own fresh Bavarian waffles? The room was very romantic which featured a special head board complete with sheer curtains that matched the sheers on our sliding glass door to our balcony with a view I can't seem to forget! The Surfside is now "our place" to go when we need a reprive from the hustle and bustle of our crazy lives! We can't wait to go back, in fact we are planning to in September!

dissappointed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/11/05
this hotel/suites were very dissappointing after veiwing in person.there was no privacy on coming out on the balcony (really no balcony just railing and a walkway). there was so privacy screen on patio doors-very unsafe feeling! we requested a king bed, which we were told by the staff we would have, and instead we got two full size beds.upon taking a shower, i was scolded with hot water when the unit above ours flushed their toilet!the facility was way over priced for the appearance and lack of space provided. the price we were quoted was 279/nite-way too much but we were advised that this was the only place left for a vacancy the weekend we requested. we found out upon arrival and driving around, this was not true! we would not recommend this facility to anyone! the "private beaches" were dirty as well.

Awesome atmosphere!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/05
We really enjoyed our stay at the Surfside Hotel & Suites. It could not have been better. The staff is very hospitable and helpful. This seems to reflect on the other guests staying there. Everyone, including other guests, were very warm and friendly. The room was excellent!! Views superb!! Fanizzi's Restaurant within walking distance was awesome!! The continental Breakfast, in the hotel lobby, was definately a "cut above"!! My father-in-law had his own room & he also was extremely happy with our stay at the Surfside Hotel.

The Past is often better!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/05
What, at one time, was a terrific, reasonably priced and relaxing place to stay is now an overpriced, noisy, swim club.. A Gay Man or Womens relaxing hideaway that welcomed the family pet and fostered a friendly environment has become a "family" amusement park of bad behavior and irresponsiblility....

No relaxing here.. unless you have kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/14/04
This hotel is a haven for kids, running up and down the walkways and stairs; the hotel is rickety beachfront construction. The walkway on each floor shudders and thumps when someone walks to their room, making it impossible to relax. Good news: the kids are in bed by 10:00. The bad news: don't even think about taking a nap anytime during waking hours.

Also, they had no beach towels either day of our stay. It is "first come first serve" on the towels, but that means check in on Monday or you are SOL. For $300/night, buying a few more beach towels for guests isn't too much to ask.

Lesbians (especially those with kids) - you will love it here.
Gay men - you will hate it here
Straight couples - your kids will enjoy it; you will hate it.
