A good value for the money
This is one of the cheaper hotels found in the boston area ($99/night). Actually, when I was searching, this hotel was the cheapest/closest I could find to the center of Boston. I was there for a period of 5 days, and the 6 miles from the hotel to my conference site was manageable due to the bi-hourly shuttle to the JFK/Umass subway station. Service was good and combined with the expansive continental breakfast, I'd say this hotel is overall a good deal, especially considering the several hundred dollar I saved over staying elsewhere (closer the downtown Boston).
Cleanliness was pretty good. The only downside, which I've already mentioned in the distance from the downtown area. However, if you expect to be in Boston the whole day, the commute is not such a large problem.
To give a comparison, I'd chose this hotel almost hands down over the Howard Johnson that I stayed in last year near Fenway Park. That hotel had no continental breakfast and was simply not as nice as the Ramada Inn. The only thing it had going for it was location.
