Pineapple Hill B&B, New Hope

I stayed at Pineapple Hill a few weeks ago and found it very relaxing! I stayed in the Ann Frost it was very cozy and I enjoyed the fireplace while reading my favorite books. Breakfast was served every morning and it was always something very delicious!!!! My favorite was the Eggs Benedict!!! Kathryn and Cookie are very lovely people and made sure to give me lots of suggestions on where to dine and site see. I can't wait to go back this summer and take full advantage of the pool!

The innkeepers, the breakfast (orange pancakes - YUM), the room, and the pool (inside the ruins of an old stone barn) could not be better! Had a VERY nice time and really liked getting to know the owners - Kathy and Cookie. A great value.

Accommodations and care at Pineapple Hill were good. However, make sure you don't leave anything valuable behind at the end of your stay. The $70 sweater I left was found by the establishment's staff, and when I opened the box that was mailed to me it turned out to be someone else's pair of boots. I returned the boots to the B&B and was told there was a mix-up, and that my sweater would be coming soon. It never did. The last thing the B&B told me was "you'll have to take it up with the post office." So much for my $70 sweater, and consequently less-than-impressive care.

Portions of food pathetic. Very expensive. Unfriendly staff. Was hoping for friendly people but didnt get that result. Long drive, and was expecting smiles.. Got otherwise. They are not doing me a favor by working there.

I visited Pineapple Hill with my girlfriend and it was horrible. We could hear through the walls, the innkeepers were nasty and I found an egg-shell in my eggs. I would tell people to find a much better place for half the price by traveling a little further into town.

We are so glad we chose Pineapple Hill. The place is gorgeous! We went to see the fall leaves this October and we were not disappointed. The food was very good - I am a big breakfast person and I was very satisfied. We love our kids, but sometimes you need to get away as a couple. The last thing you want to hear on such an excursion is someone else's squalling brat. We love the fact that Pineapple Hill is reserved for adults and older children only. The house itself is a treasure. My house is only 20 years old and it has problems - this place is over 300 years old and we had hot showers, warm rooms and a nice cozy fire without the smoke! New Hope is an adorable little town - we walked the length of it and visited some lovely shops. Lunch at the Logan was fabulous. We went over to the Lambertville Station for dinner after Kathy made reservations for us. If you want a cheap flop where you can bring the kids along and get fed bland, mass-produced food from a trough, stay at the Holiday Inn. If you want a quiet romantic getaway with a personal touch, visit Pineapple Hill.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary in a "Country Inn" and we found that and more at Pineapple Hill! The staff was extremely warm and friendly, offering warm muffins and hot beverages upon our arrival. Our room was better than we had expected (this was our first time at a B&B rather than a hotel) and everything about it said "cozy." Kathy and Cookie made the most delicious breakfast and some of the best coffee I've ever had. Kathy was nice enough to share her recipies for morning breakfasts so that I could emulate them at home. We have already planned our next two anniversary trips there and can't wait to use the outdoor pool!

We had a really good stay at Pineapple Hill. We've just read the reviews about a lack of food and are really surprised. There was a main course, plus oatmeal, muffins, yogurts and some other stuff that you could have as much as you wanted of... There was staff there for much of the time, and someone was always in reach. We found it to be private and relaxing.

My wife and I stayed here last year and we liked it so much we're going back again this year. The inn looks amazing decorated for the holidays, the owners are very friendly, and we couldn't wait to see what breakfast would be every morning.

My husband and I discovered Pineapple Hill about 10 years ago while searching the web for a place to stay in New Hope. Since then we have been there many times, and we are always treated very well by hosts who bend over backwards to make sure their guests are happy. The inn is very comfortable and cozy with rooms decorated in Victorian style, but not lacking in modern comforts like gas fireplaces (for winter) and air conditioners (for summer). The breakfasts are excellent (even for this picky eater), and the staff is always courteous and helpful. We've enjoyed cuddling up by the fire in winter and lounging around in the hammock or swimming in the pool (which was built inside the remains of an old farmhouse on the property) in summer. The property is far enough out of town to be nice and quiet but close enough to be easily accessible. Not sure why some people have given Pineapple Hill bad reviews; we certainly wouldn't keep coming back (we'll be there this Thanksgiving in what's become a tradition for us) if we didn't think it was well worth it. One note, though: Pineapple Hill is generally NOT the place to go if you have small children -- they have a policy of no children under 12. For us, this is one of the selling points of the place; children are ubiquitous everywhere and it's nice to have one place we can go and not be bothered by lots of noise.
