More than Satisfied
By Anise, 01/10/10
My wedding day at Cameron Estate Inn was more than I could have ever imagined. The quality of service was absolutely above and beyond what I expected. Rhonda was there before I booked the reception site to answer any questions. Along the way she was incredibly informative and helpful and usually got back to me within a day or two. The entire planning process was amazing and on the day of the wedding, Rhonda and her crew were there to help make everything run as smooth as possible and were there supporting me all the way! The food was the best wedding food that you will ever have. In fact, it's the best steak I think I've ever had (and I'm picky!). Everything was cooked perfectly and EVERY SINGLE GUEST complimented me on the food. Yes, it was a little pricey, but it is totally worth it if you care about the food quality. I ended up doing an open bar. The prices on the open bar were Very Reasonable. The room itself is very clean and modern but has vintage/rustic flair. The grounds were ideal photographs. I would also highly recommend staying at the inn and reserving rooms for your guests. It will be the best room that you've ever stayed in! I've stayed in very high class hotels before that were far more per night and none of them compared to the Inn's rooms. We were more than satisfied with every aspect of our wedding day!

Can not go Wrong
By shortstay, 01/10/10
When I first saw photos of Cameron, I knew I was going to get married there! It is so beautiful and was the perfect setting for the type of wedding we wanted. We worked closely with the Cameron and the coordinator was FANTASTIC!!! She always worked hard at getting us information or items we requested! We shared a lot of laughs and made me and my family feel so comfortable during an emotional time! She handled my MIL's surprise drop in one day with more grace than I ever could! :) The rehearsal went so smoothly, even though my inlaws were 20 minutes late, she made it all happen!! That day everyone was so professional. The Staff came down to the bridal party with hors d'oeurvers, which was so great, since we hadn't eaten in a few hours! The Carriage house looked amazing! My husband still raves about his pepercorn congac steak, that it's the best he's ever had! The Cameron truly made our wedding a wonderful affair, that our family and friends say is the best wedding they have ever been to! The contract is very easy ti understand and covers all that you need. Our bikks were prompt and accurate despite the numerous changes we made. This took such a burden off the wedding day knowing all was paid for and no one would be chasing us down on our wedding dat to settle an bills. We were recently back at the Cameron for a friend's wedding, and we were greeted right away by the owner, who said it was so nice to have us back, and warmly greeted my family and I with smiles and hugs! It was so nice to be remembered after almost a year! I highly recommend the Cameron We joke that we'll renew our vows for our 10 year anniversary there, and after being welcomed back so warmly, I think it will absolutely happen!

Perfect Wedding Day
By Jen, 11/14/09
We had our daughter's Wedding at the Cameron Estate Inn on June 27, 2009 and couldn't have been any happier. It was a real pleasure working with Rhonda, the Wedding Coordinator. She made sure that all of our requests were met and was on top of everything prior to and the day of the Wedding. She was very professional and made sure that everything moved along smoothly. We also appreciated the "little things" that were done to make the day even more special. One of these "little things" was having a server butler the Hors d'Oeuvres and serve water with lemon to the wedding party and immediate family during picture taking time. That was a very nice touch and very much appreciated. I could go on and on about how satisfied we were with the way everything was handled, not to mention the fact that the grounds and the rooms were absolutely beautiful and the perfect setting for some fabulous pictures. Everyone we worked with couldn't have been any nicer and the day couldn't have been any more perfect.

Best possible choice for our family get-together
By William, 11/14/09
A family get-together with my sisters and mother couldn't have been enjoyed at any more appropriate place than at Cameron Estate Inn. A special thank you to the innkeepers for their exemplary service to our needs and wishes. We all felt welcome to enjoy this wonderful inn with all its special nuances and character. Our room was on the 3rd floor and every time I entered it, I felt whisked back to another, more genteel time. The changing Autumn leaves and pastoral grounds lent well to some beautiful family photographs that will help us remember fondly our special time at Cameron Estate Inn with one another. The food was excellent and varied, service was very attentive, accommodating and friendly, the inn was well-kept and beautifully appointed, and our room was comfortable and spacious with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Thank you all for a wonderful, special stay at the Inn with my family. I am hoping to return soon

You get what you look for…And We found it!
By Chris, 07/04/09
We have realized that if you look for things to complain about you will find them and if you decide to be unhappy you will be so we always take a positive outlook so we reap what we sow. Boy did we get more than we bargained for. The Cameron Estate Inn is incredible and the staff so helpful. While if is a bit out of the way the upside is that it is quiet and peaceful. The uniqueness of the property lent itself to an ideal location for our wedding and lodging for the guests. The staff could not be more helpful and the lodging impeccable. The food (Breakfast, Dinner and the wedding meal) was marvelous and so well prepared and presented. Thanks to the Cameron Estate Inn we have wonderful memories to cherish of our wedding weekend.

Restful and Quiet
By Wilson, 07/03/09
We could not wait to share our experience at the Cameron Estate Inn. It was a welcomed relief from the customary B&B. The place is quiet which afforded us a restful and recouperative stay. While is it a bit out of the way and a bit pricey, once you get there you can see hy. The restaurant was one of the best and the breakfasts wondefule. Thanks for a great stay!

What a Find
By Cassy, 07/02/09
We stayed at the inn in June and were pleased with our entire stay. Everone was so helpful and delighted to see us. There was a wedding there which was beautiful . The bride indicated they invited 165 and all came. The guest we talked to said it was great and the food was fabulous. If it was anything like the restaurant food we enjoyed it must have beed fanominal

One for the Records
By Mary, 07/02/09
We had our wedding at the Cameron Estate Inn in June for 200 people and we could not have dreamed it would have turned out so perfect. The grounds were wonderful and so picturesque; we can hardly wait for our wedding album to be completed. Everything went like clockwork and there were no surprises. Sure our statement of account changed as time went on, but one should expect this as head count changes or there are additions. The food was magnificent and we were so please with the presentation. Everyone we encountered could not have been nicer, from the receptionist, the management and the owners. The rooms in the Inn were very nice and the breakfast exceptional. Well done!

Do not have a wedding here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/01/09
I don't know who wrote those great reviews (maybe the staff at the Cameron Estate?), but our experience was awful. My daughter had her wedding here (June 2009) for 165 people and were horrified and embarrassed by the food, the service, and the financial incompetence we had to deal with the whole time we worked with these people. They got our bill wrong EVERY step of the way, they were rude to us when we ran into problems, the food was bland and colorless, and our guests were treated with indifference. If you do go this route, please review every bill very carefully, do not get suckered into menu extras (strawberries? yuck!), and don't expect help from the owners (I will say that the person who takes reservations and our wedding planner--Janean--were both very nice and did what they could with the abyssmal management they worked under).

Great Find
By Maryann, 06/05/09
There aren't a ton of options when one needs a place to stay for ONE night in the Mount Joy area. Pretty few hotels-or basically NO hotels-at least in Mount Joy and the local B&B's typically require a two night minimum stay (or are decorated in top to bottom farm animal theme-sorry, can't sleep in that!) After much searching, I booked a room at the Cameron. It's an attractive, large house that was once part of the Elizabethtown College very casula and comfortable. We stayed in the Four Seasons Suite. Two comfortable bedrooms with a shared bath. It seemed pretty quiet there for a Saturday night. One of the best part of the stay was the breakfast. It was VERY good, apple cinnamon pancakes, potatoes provencale, candied bacon, fresh fruits, coffee and juice-made a great start to my Sunday morning. Just Agreat Place and an unexpected find
