Cameron Estate Inn, Mt Joy

We just stayed at the Cameron Estate Inn and where thrilled with our stay. The Inn is definitely on a grand estate surrounded by farmland, a historic church and a few farm houses. The soaring trees and grand entrance gate lends to the grand feeling of a historic estate. To our surprise the breakfast served was hot served, not the ubiquitous cold continental breakfast. As you would expect at a B&B the hot entr�e was the chef�s choice but made exquisitely. The Columbian Supremo coffee was an added surprise. The restaurant however was superlative. When you go get he Honey Lavender Game Hen, an unexpected delight. The Hosts were most accommodating and refreshments we there for the asking. All in all one of the best experiences we have had.

The Cameron Estate Inn in Lancater Pa is a delightful B&B secluded in the middle of farmland. The inn is very historic, Lincoln's Secretary of war and U S Grant's Secretary of war's home. We had other freind recommene the Restaurant and we have to agree with them, it is FANTASTIC. Be prepared to DINE not EAT. THe service is designed to let you leasurly enjoy your meal and they pride themselves on allowing you 2 or more hours to dine. (If you have a back -end contraint, let them know they will expidite your service). Every thing is made to order so slow-down and enjoy the care taken to provide you a sumptuious meal that you will not find in the "boil-in-bag" restaurants who want to "greet you, Seat you and Street you".

The setting and room were all I had hoped for and more based on the internet pictures. I was really looking forward to dining at the restaurant. In fact as soon as my husband and I checked in, a guest highly recommended the restaurant. The food was very good but the wait between each item was quite lengthy so that our meal with soup, salad, main course and desert took slightly over 2 hours. Basically once the waitress put each item on your table, plan to wait at least 20 minutes before the next item arrives. I don't know if there was only one person in the kitchen but the 25 minutes between the salad and the main course felt a bit too much.

What a delightful evening! The atmosphere is relaxed but elegant and the service excellent. A visit from the manger at our table was a delight. We were not rushed and spent a leasurly two hours on cocktails, salad, sorbet (did not beleive restaurants still served a palate cleanser) Entree ( Honey Lavendar Gme Hen is to die for) and desert! What a find...We will return

What a delight as we drove into the Inn, the tall trees, beautiful landscaping, and the aroma of the country! I couldn't wait to walk the trails over the stream and into the fall colors! The restaurant was wonderful and the hosts of the Inn bent over backwards to make my visit a rememberable experience. It is on my list of places to revisit!

A bit off the beaten path an a bit hard to find if you forget the directions, but what a find! So peacefull and secluded, with funny and accommodating hosts...Sometimes you get what you ask for and other you get more, this is definitley as "get more"...

This inn is far more thatn we expected, Having stayed at inn across the country , this one surpassed all the others. Wonderful antiques fill the rooms, the restaurant is one of the finest we have enjoyed. Well worth the trip.

THe best B&B we have ever enjoyed. The restaurant was a delightful plus with excelent food and presentaion. Filled with antiues and above all SECLUDED and Quiet.
