Mill Stream Country Inn, Smoketown

i was there for the first time and loved it, sara in the morning making wafles for os, it was very clean og everybody was very nice hope to come back next year

For the past 15 years we have enjoyed Mill Stream twice a year together with a number of friends from Denmark. We all love the place. Rooms are nice and clean, breakfast room very pleasant and breakfast good, particularly the waffles. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make us happy. We are so looking forward to our next visit.

i would recommend this country inn to everyone my family have been coming her for at least 5 years and enjoy every time we come. we have fun, fishing,swimming, the cozy dining room and front room with beautiful home made treasures. each year we look forward to returning. worth the money , the time wonderful vacation. we bring back many happy memories with us of mill stream country inn every year.

I have been staying at this Country Inn for the past 10 years. Every year has been a pleasurable stay. The rooms are clean, the help is friendly, the morning breakfast is wonderful. It is my country home away from home.

Basic accomodations but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate and convenient. The location is a bit off the busy, commercial area which was a plus. Horse and buggies were passing by day and evening. The farmland tour was excellent.

I attended the Sight and Sound show Aug 28,2007(fabulous) and this reservation came with the ticket and hotel purchase. (I did actually choose this as an option). I was very unimpressed for the 109$ I spent here. the beds were very comfortable but the floors were very dirty. The bathrooms were very basic with no frills. I read all the reviews and disagree with the breakfast, I was pleasantly surprised. It had waffles, yogurt, HB eggs, donuts muffins toast and bagels as well as fruit and cereal. coffee was good. I had to request the back of hotel as more quiet than front of street. there are no elevators- no problem for me to hike to third floor. Window AC unit was either too cold blowing at the bed,or too hot off. Front desk was acceptable but not overly friendly or encouraged that I have a good stay. Overall, I feel that there were tons of places to stay there and I picked a lackluster hotel. There were MANY newer hotels in area. Pool was soso.

We stayed here again this year when we went to visit Thomas The Tank Engine. We enjoyed the view of a working Amish Farm and winding stream from our room. Rooms are nice and clean. Location is quiet and safe. Staff is very courteous and willing to give suggestions of local places to eat or visit when asked. Breakfast is on the house and was a real hit with my family. Waffles hot off the grill was our favorite. From this hotel you can quickly get anywhere you want, outlets and local shops, restaurants (Good 'n Plenty is just down the hill and across the stream), buggy rides, plays, and our choice - the Railroad and Thomas! This will be our place to stay when coming to beautiful PA.

We have stayed at the Mill Stream Country Inn several times a year for the past eight or ten -- actually reluctant to let the whole world in on this jewel! 1) Exceptionally friendly -- not merely polite -- staff who are concerned with making guests' stays enjoyable. 2) Clean and comfortable rooms at reasonable prices. 3) Quiet, peaceful, and scenic location; yet conveniently near almost everything (shopping, "tourist" attractions, etc.) for which people travel to Lancaster County.

WE STAYED HERE ON A WHIM AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE MONEY, VERY CLEAN, MODERN ROOMS, QUIET ENVIRONMENT, VERY FRIENDLY STAFF AND YOU CAN'T BEAT THE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST THEY OFFER. WE WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN NO DOUBT!!!!
