Mariner's Cove Motel, Pt Pleasant Beach

The man at the front desk is a nice guy, the pool is clean and it's close to the restaurants and the beach. We wanted to stay as close as possible to the beach so that we didn't have to drive anywhere. It is a short walk to the boardwalk/beach/bars/restaurants etc. The place is nothing incredibly special, but for the price and proximity it's just fine.

Mariners Cove offers a great rate and is located walking distance from the beautiful Point Pleasant Beach. The motel has a nice sized heated pool and offers a clean room and friendly service. Raj, the manager, is VERY accomodating and is always eager to help in any way. I was very comfortable at Mariner's Cove and will return again when I am in the area

Where to start Room wasn't serviced each day til after 5pm ,always had to ask for towels which had stains on them,rack to hang things up fell out of wall and wasn't fixed during stay,no clock in room,and I you want to stay ask for second level cause you will hear guest above movement all day and night.Sign posted quiet time 10pm but they let guest in pool after midnight and yell and scream.Good note it is a good location, beach pass included that's it.

I had a room there for several weeks september and October, and near the end of sept. the pool was still open clean and heated.... the boardwalk is very close and also the beach. When I needed anything it was immediately supplied, this included a larger tv and a microwave... nothing was left undone, the room was clean and warm in the cooler months and the ac was fine.... very accommodating staff. I had no problems at all....

$350 for one night...disgusting place; felt like I needed a shower after leaving. Not worth the money--definitely would suggest that you stay a bit further away from the beach at a nicer location.

My friends and I had called & requested motel room for 1 night- told that we can arrive @ anytime- upon arrival we were told that we would get the suite instead of regular room- suite was in part of motel where old gift shop was- major problem was the lack of A/C and we were told that it was going to be fixed- no professional HVAC company ever came and the room remained very warm despite closing all the blinds and curtains, the place could use a good dusting and windows need to be cleaned!! the major complaint was the lack of A/C and being lied to about it being fixed. In addition, bandaids in the pools and on the second day the pool needed a good cleaning maybe a little shock!!!! 4 get if you want to BBQ, have small picnic type that will never do the trick!! Yes, the motel is cheap but you get what you paid for!! Would not recommend for an extended stay especially if you get the suite and it's hot and want to sleep in the cool A/C-- ask for motel room and make sure you get it!!! This motel must've been nice in a previous time as I have heard from the locals- but they even said its not anymore.. Wouldn't stay here again!!!

My girlfirend and I were satisified the first two nights we spent at this motel. If you didn't mind having no maid service, and getting your own towels. However, after purchasing a room on the third day. The owner tried putting my girlfirend and I in a basement in a buliding adjacent to the motel. After observing the room, we were shocked. There was duct tape covering the bathroom window, a mildew covered refrigerator, an open fuse box with open wires exposed, one bulb in a four buld light in the living room, and a door which was ducted taped closed, which led upstairs. For our own safety, we requested another room. Because I didnt know who lived upstairs to us, and if they could open the ducted tape door. The clerk and I agreed on another room. However, he quickly gave the room to another family right in front of me because they were willing to pay more! I requested for a refund, and he gave me a partial refund. I stayed in places all across the world, and have never been so disappointed with an establishment. And for your own pleasure and safety I urge you to try another establishment!

This hotel was very resonably priced and close to the beach. That was all it had to offer. We ended up buying our own towels and sheets because the two sets that were brought to us were dirty. We would not stay at the hotel again!

The only thing nice was it was close to the beach on which we stayed for the majority of the day and night. For 2 nights the cost was exhorbitant ($618)and we received NOTHING in return other than a bed to sleep on. There were 4 adults in our room which the hotel staff knew ahead of time. We had to ask for more towels and even had to wait to get them. We even had to ask for our room to be cleaned after the first night. The inground pool was filthy..you could not even see the bottom. We were very disappointed in this motel. We definatly will not stay here again.

I was able to book a room for 6 people on very short notice and was very pleased. The price was great and the room we stayed in made us feel at home. The staff was very helpful. The pool was great and there are lots of places close by to dine at and go out to at night. Check it out!
