Shalimar Resort, Tilton

We stayed at The Shalimar Resort last weekend for the winter madness. What a great family place and great find this was. $159 for the whole weekend and meals included too! WOW! the rooms are very nice, new flat screen TV"s were moving in during our stay. Rooms and common areas were very clean. Our kids loved the huge pool and homemade muffins at breakfast. We took advantage of the prime location to the Tanger Outlet Mall and did Christmas shopping. We will come back to ski next time. Staff was very friendsly as well.

We had a great visit at The Shalimar Resort! We did the winter getaway for $169.00 for the weekend and it included 2 dinners each night continental breakfast (great homemade muffins), and $10.00 off Sunday Brunch. What a deal! The food was amazing and the staff was sooooo friendly. This is a great family run resort and we will go back for sure. The rooms look great and are very clean. We love the new flat screen TV's too. The pool is very large and loved working out in the gym with a view of the pool.

I just checked out this morning and have to say thank you to the entire staff at The Shalimar Resort. They are kind, caring and compassionate. I travel all over the world for business and have been to several family resorts and have not had the service I received here. Gabby at the front desk was smiling from the time I checked in. They upgraded me to a room with a lake view (just becasue they had one available). They just put all new flat screen TV's in the rooms and wehn I had difficulty with my remote, (i pushed re-program by mistake), Peter came right to the room and fixed it. The housekeepers do a great job, my room was very clean! the food was great and service was great as well. It is an older hotel but the owners have done a great job with renovation. The pool is huge and sparkling clean. I hope I can travel to New Hampshire again for business and stay with them once again.

We loved the Shalimar Resort and can't wait to come back. The rooms are extremly clean and the staff is wonderful. The entire resort is spotless, we could ot believe it! The front desk staff is a bit strict about a no refund policy but if you understand the policy and cancel within 24 hours you are fine. The wait staff was wonderfu and the food was amazing. The owners are always on property and are so kind. We will come back for sure.

Starting from my reservation,to my check-in,the fantastic deal with,meals,2 dinners friday.2 dinners saturday, and 10 bucks off sunday brunch..I got 3 nights of the above for about $260.00..Such a deal ! Beautiful Swimming pool.nice game room,workout room,jacuzzi..It was all good.Friendly and competent wait staff..The food was great.It's a little older spot,but right on Lake Winnesquam..I can't wait until my next visit,which trust me,is soon.. We just love the Shalimar. The people who wrote the last two reviews obviously didn't stay at the Shalimar. First of all they have beautifully decorated rooms with concrete walls (not paper thin) and we had families all aroud us and never heard anything. There was always someone at the desk every time I walked by and they were extremely helpful with questions, directions and super friendly. WE LOVE THE SHALIMAR and we have been coming every year since i was small and we will continue to come for the next several years.

We arrived two hours after our check-in time and to start off with there was nobody at the desk and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to show up. Our room wasn't ready for another hour after we got there and we were left waiting in the lobby. We were on a tight schedule and ended up being late to my sisters wedding. Thanks "Shalimar." The room smelled like smoke, and needed serious updating. There located on a busy road so all I could here was traffic all night and people partying in the next room. The walls were very thin. The pool was trashy. I wish I could give this place no stars becasue thats what it deserves.

I arrived just as the clerk was attending to a disgruntled customer on the phone who was trying every excuse in the book (I think the official excuse was "mother sick") to get out of a reservation on Nascar weekend! Even I knew before checking in that hotels in the Lakes Region have a no refund policy for big weekends like NASCAR and motorcycle rally weekends! When the customer was not satisfied with the attendant's efforts to explain things, the owner came and personally spoke with the customer. The owner (or wife of the owner, I'm not sure) tried to appease the very weasley customer, who finally threatened to make up bad reviews online to punish them for not caving in for her. I overheard threats of bed bugs, rats, and expletives before the owner finally, cordially had to end the call. I personally have never been so embarrassed to be a customer as I was in the presence of this poor, selfish woman. I assure you, the Shalimar has only the nicest, most competent employees, and very upfront, honest and cordial owners! you will not be disappointed! The pool is large, clean, and sunlit! Games, workout room, breakfast - awesome accommodations! Located halfway between the outlets and downtown Laconia/Winnisquam, easy commute to every attraction in the Lakes Region -- Excellent experience -- thank you Shalimar!!

What a gret place for a family get away. We had an amazing time at The Shalimar Resort and loved the whole place. I love the little boutique and the food and service was extremely good. You can tell it's family owned and operated because the whole family is there! Kids work in the dining room and parents in the bar and desk. Just love it!! We willl be back for our ski holiday this winter. Rooms are very clean and grounds are very well kept. Price was very reasonable and food was included (what a bargain).

We loved the beach and the pool. The whole resort is so clean and the beach is just beautiful. We love the restaurant and the food is amazing. It was nice to get a free local newspaper, go to the pool and sit with friends and just relax. We loved floating at the beach and jumping off the dock it just made us remember how nice it is to vacation with family and friends. We all had dinner together in the restaurant and got free meals with our rooms. We were here on a family reunion and everyone had a really nice time. We will do this again next year for sure. Great job Shalimar Staff and thanks for making our stay so wonderful and enjoyable. The staff works so hard and goes above and beyond to make your stay nice. We truly appreciate it.
