Think twice before going here

Our whole family, 3 generations, grandparents, children, and grandchildren were going to NH for a vacation in August 2009. We were looking for housekeeping cabins with a kitchenette, as we wanted to get our breakfast and dinner at the cabins. I called and spoke to the owner of the cabins, and she told me they were housekeeping cabins, all refurbished, and that they had everything that you could possibly need as far as things to work with in the kitchen. I told her there would be 4 of us staying in each cabin, and she suggested which cabins we should stay in. When we got there, we found there were only 2 chairs in each cabin and a little tiny table with a microwave on it, so nowhere to sit and eat other than the beds. There were no forks in some of the cabins, just a mismatch of things in each one, but between all of them, we were able to come up with things to make a meal, but it was difficult. The owner (female) told me that each cabin we rented would have a roll of paper towels when we got there and we were responsible to bring more if we needed them, which I understood, but when we got there, there were no paper towels in the cabins, not enough towels (4 people were staying in each cabin and we had 1 towel and 2 washcloths in each cabin). We thought it would be no problem to go get more towels, but when we did so, the women was extremely rude. Literally had to beg for towels and tell her no, 4 of us were not going to share 2 washcloths and 1 towel. The refrigerator in one of our cabins did not work correctly and ruined all the food we stored in that frig. The grilling area that they depict and say is for guests to use, well, we thought that was true, so my husband went to start a fire and the owner came out and asked him why he thought it would be okay for him to use her grilling area. It was a very bizarre experience. We had paid for 2 nights and could not get our money back, so we tried to make the best of it. The jacuzzi they show in the pictures, not turned on, so guess it was broken. They did not come and make up our beds, sweep the floor, put in clean towels, even though we were there 2 nights, yet there was a sarcastic note written on an envelope saying to leave a tip and to remember "Tippin is not a city in China." We literally all dreaded to have to go to the office and request things such as a trash can liner (owner said they didn't have anymore) or toilet paper, as both the husband and wife were very unpleasant. Hard to figure out what the story is, but the place is pretty run down, and it seems like maybe they are stuck and in over their heads and hate what they are doing. Like I said, we just made the best of it, but I would never go there again and would not recommend it to anyone. There are many, many places that are clean and neat and want and appreciate your business and you don't have to stand there and argue to get more than 1 towel for 4 people and they are willing to give you each a washcloth too. The man was nice until we paid for the cabin, then not nice at all. Not the type of experience I think most people on vacation want.
