Inn at Strawbery Banke Bed & Breakfast, Portsmouth

Never saw the innkeeper once during my stay here. Rooms smelt of mold and the linens and towels ought to be replaced. Only redeeming factor is it's location in town.

likes, location,,,,dislikes ,everything else.....do not pay in cash the owners pocket the cash so they dont have to declare it .....check the desk drawer.....also ask for receipts and listen to the song and dance about convienence.....also if you pay with a credit card DO NOT LET IT OUT OF YOUR SIGHT....

Although this Inn is more rustic than many, it was a wonderful experience and convenient to everything. We stayed on the main level; the room was adequate with a queen bed, dresser and a single which was set up as a couch. The bathroom was small but served it's purpose and had a great supply of hot water and had terrific water pressure. No tv, no phone, wide pine flooring, shutters on the windows, a/c unit in side window. Breakfast was in a very cozy room in the back of the house, we had sourdough blueberry pancakes which were wonderful. I would definately recommend this Inn, and will certainly visit again.
