5 reviews for Maine Stay Inn & Cottages, Kennebunkport
great service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/05/08
My fiance and I stayed at The Maine Stay for a long weekend and really enjoyed our visit. The staff was incredible - everyone we met was very nice and polite. The innkeepers made us feel very welcome, and we were stunned to hear they have only been in the business for a month! Breakfast was also really good. The only complaint I have about the entire stay was that the OJ at breakfast was only okay.... I was so comfortable talking with them that I mentioned the juice and they agreed and are changing it! I don't do much cooking, but my girlfriend does and she raved about the meals. She even tried to make them for us at home, but, I have to admit, hers was definitely not as good as theirs! It was a little cold for us to eat on the porch, but I can only imagine how great it would be later in the summer. Overall, definitely a great place that I will return to and recommend to friends.

Celebrate a special event at the Maine Stay Inn, Kennebunkport, Maine
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/02/08
The new innkeepers, Judi and Walter are so personable, they made our stay so much fun. We came to celebrate the 60th anniversary of my parents and they made the event even more memorable. The entire family hopes to return again soon. The breakfast was especially outstanding, it is clear that Judi really enjoys cooking and serving a special meal.

Fabulous Inn!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/07
My husband and I stayed two nights in Room 12, The Deluxe Fireplace Suite, at the Maine Stay Inn and absolutely fell in love with it. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, and the crackling, wood-burning fireplace was wonderful. The room was VERY clean (which is extremely important to me as I am somewhat “Monkish”). The rest of the Inn was lovely, and breakfast—-from the fresh fruit to the warm muffins to the yummy quiche—-was superb. The Innkeepers were friendly, pleasant and accommodating, but not intrusive. We plan to return soon, possibly during one of their “theme” weekends.

great time!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/05
We stayed in one of the cottages last winter. The innkeepers were great... the room was clean. The bed was a little hard but the fireplace was a great addition on a cold winter evening! Breakfast (since we were in the cottage) arrived at our door every morning or we had the option of eating with the rest of the guests in the dining room. Inn was within walking distance of the town center and innkeepers gave some great recommendations for dinner. Overall great time! Would recommend.

Nice place but wouldn't go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/05
I feel they were misleading regarding the size of the bed. We stayed in room number 12 the deluxe fireplace suite. It said it was a queen size bed, but it seemed to me to be a full, which was extremly dissappointing. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. The breakfast is served in the dining room with all the other guests and you are served by the inn keeper. The room has a tv/vcr however it is extremly small and it is postioned so that you watch it while sitting in uncomfortable wicker furniture. The room was a convereted living room, so it essentially had glass french doors, that wouldn't stay shut unless locked and you can hear everything going on becuase it on the first floor right next to the front door and parlor
