Grand Hyatt Singapore, Singapore

I would like to tell everybody about my recent visit to Singapore. The hotel where I was in, is a wonderful service. Every service here is very excellent. I am very satisfied with Grand Hyatt Singapore. A variety of Asian and Continental cuisine is served in a slick, open-kitchen-concept dining area. This is a hotel that becomes more stylish over time

I enjoy the Hyatt hotels throughout the world and this Singapore location was once near the top of the list. After the renovation a few years ago, the property no longer has any human feel to it and is overly minimalist to the point of feeling as if sleeping in a box only with a bed and flat screen. The location on Orchard road, although central, is shared by a number of other hotels that are equally well situated but do not command the terribly over priced bill that the Hyatt does. There is very little value in staying at this hotel. The service is mediocre at best and the hotel management has become rather snobby and complacent (unless you are a famous food critic or someone incredibly famous and then they will take proper care of you!).

i just love this hyatt. The location is fantastic. The lobby is very chic and modern. Restaurants are excellent. StraitsKitchen offers a wide array of local delights and they are to die for. Although the hotel do not offer a nice view but you can request for a garden view room like I did. Front desk and concierge was very friendly and remembers my name when I had cocktail at the Grand Club lounge. Housekeeping was immaculate. The houskeeper who cleaned my room was so attentive and my room was so clean. Definately will recommend this Grand Hyatt to my business associates when the travel to singapore. Grand Hyatt Singapore is absolutely the Grand Hyatt.

This Hyatt has always struggled to maintain its Grand status and, while there are elements of 'grandness', overall it falls short. A recent renovation helped; however, there are annoying aspects to these renovations. In particular, the hot and cold water taps in the shower are consistently awkward to use and despite their being two tvs in the room, one has to shut doors in order to avoid turning on the tvs at once. Check-in and check-out are slow and cumbersome and there is no real seating area for waiting guests in a lobby that appears to serve no function. The fitness facilities are dark and tired- looking and the pool, while nice, is not comparable to the other Grand Hyatt pools. Overall, a good star hotel, but definitely not a 5 star hotel.

EVERY THING WAS SO EXCELLENT THAT THERE IS NO WORD TO SAY ANY THING BAD

The hotel is in the heart of the city, that is why I recommend to stay here. As you walk out of the hotel you will see a string of malls on your left and right. You just have to walk and voila, shopping is right in your nose. You save on the taxi bills and if your spouse is too lazy to go out and you need to get the feel of Singapore, then just walk out and take a safe stroll!With regards to the hotel, the club room was excellent,bed was perfectly "springed", not too hard not too soft,and one is allowed to make use of the Grand room for free,where not only breafast is served but also cocktails in the evening.Coffee is free all day long. No regrets, try out the hotel!
