Home away from Home in PE
We visited this hotel for a conference at Nelson Mandela University (a few miles away) but it was well worth the location distance. The rooms were a little small, but clean airy and had fantastic views no matter where you were in the hotel. The amenities were simple and worked well, though one of our outlets didn't. My only complaint would be about the shower, the curtain didn't extend all the way, and there was a window right in the shower, but I'm not sure this is the same for all rooms.
But the best part about this hotel is the staff. They are probably the reason that Port Elizabeth is called the Friendly City. Everyone from the doorman to the hotel driver, the maid to the restaurant servers were able to help us enjoy our visit to Port Elizabeth, even giving us great directions to some of Port Elizabeth's nearby game parks (such as Addo and Kragga Kamma).
I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Port Elizabeth. Only the most cynic critic could resist this charming hotel.
Five out of Five stars.
