My home away from home!

Yes the hotel needs quite a bit of refurbishing, but what a great hotel! The restaurants were amazing from the food to the wine to the service! You need look no further than the hotel restaurants and bars for great food and service. If you want to go out, you are not far from other great restaurants, etc. The entire staff was OUTSTANDING! The bars are right out of the 70's. The view unforgetable, and so close to a couple of Mosques that the call to prayer will wake you up in the morning, but that's part of the great experience! The nightclub is now closed, but the bars were still fun! Many of the staff, okay the bar staff, remembered my name right from the start and we had a great time attempting to communicate! It didn't seem to bother them that I was faking my way with French... a lot of nodding and sign language was all it took. The bar on level E, was my favorite... as soon as the bartender saw me round the corner he would hold up a Bier Algere, as if to ask... The Same Again or Les meme choix!
Details: The rooms are large and a bit outdated, but still comfortable. Plenty of water pressure, with seperate toilet room from bath/shower area. TV with three english channels, the rest are in French or Arabic. There is a salon for getting hair styled or cut, a watch store and a womans fashion store. Taxi's to the city centre are only about 20 Dinah, not bad at all. The pool looked beautiful, but it was a bit too cold to take a dip while I was there.
I will stay there on all my next trips because it's close to the ministries and the Embassy.
