Don't believe everthing you read!!
By billy, 07/18/09
I read the reviews and started not to stay here. I travel alot and this hotel is very clean. The people was very nice and my bed was comfortable. My co-worker and I said that we would definitely stay there again. Maybe the other reviewers had a bad maid or front desk clerk that day, but management must have dismiss them.

lost our reservations, very rude, no desire to help reconcile anything, just said to get out of his hotel, our business was not needed.

I would stay again.

The room was clean which I always find relief in and the lady at the front desk was quite pleasant. I had a refrigerator and microwave in the room, so bonus for me. The hotel is 23 mins. from Carlsbad Caverns and about 5 mins. to in town. I would/will stay again.

I would stay there again.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/05/07
The room was as you would expect a hotel room to be. Nothing fancy but every thing in the room worked and the room was clean. The bed was fine. There was plenty of breakfast left even aroun 9:00 am. I didn't have any problems with the room during my stay of two nights. If you are traveling with children they/you might enjoy the indoor pool and spa. The only problem I had was with the free WiFi, which I was only able to connect to once. Even though I was able to find six different wireless signals. If I ever return to Calsbad, I would stay there again.

Still new
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/07
The facilities appeared to be only a couple of years old so were in fairly good shape, however, some signs of wear were already evident: cracked tile, shower rod loose. It was not worth the $100 a night charge. A more appropriate rate would be in the $60 range.

Clean, Great Beds.
By Mick, 03/20/07
Easy to find, good clean hotel. Just 20 minutes from the national park. Room was clean. Great beds !!!! Breakfast was adequate, bigger selection would be nice. Decent value. Would certainly stay here again.

We'll never go back!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/06
After checking on our grand daughter, my wife slipped and fell going from pool to lobby. After I suggested they should have a non-skid mat at that entrance, rather than offering any assistance or apologies, his comment was that's what they have insurance for. He was very rude and not concerned at all.

Watch these people!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/02/06
My wife was traveling with my kids and father-in -law to Austin and booked a room early on April 1st for that night. Traffic accidents significantly delayed them leaving Phoenix. When my wife and family reached El Paso at approximately 8:00 PM, she calld to see if they could give up the room. The Days Inn office person explained that they were slow and needed to sell the Non-smoking room or she would be charged anyway. My wife and family made the 3 hour trip into Carlsbad New Mexico only to be told that there was only 1 room left and it was a smoking room. They also told my wife that she had called to cancel the room. And then argued with her about it. Save your energy and find a Fairfield Inn. We have found their services superior.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/04/05
As we planned a short day trip to Carlsbad we got online and looked at lodging. This was the first we saw so we called the place and this is we got: the man running the counter said he had 18 rooms but his system was down and therefore he coudn't take reservations. Upon asking further quetions we got rudeness and he also refused to write the reservation down on a peice of paper. he said if we got in by 4 there would be vacancy availble. When we got there we walked in to a dark dirty and dingy lobby and there was a kid standing in the lobby in his shorts the same man we talked to on the phone saw the kid and yelled ' no wet swim suits in the lobby' and he wasnet even swimming!! we ended up staying at stevens inn down the road.. much much better
