Bob's Cabins on Lake Superior, Two Harbors

Bob's is a superior operation (no pun intended). We were very pleasantly surprised with what we found. Bill, the proprietor, genuinely cares about his guests plus the effects of his business on the environment. We'd go back in an instant. Places like this are not easily found.

Bob's was a perfect experience for my son and I. At Bob's you are not too far from a city and cool small chef owned dinning, coffee shops, lakeshop adventures....AND you are off the main highways and right on the lake! It was neat and clean, quiet and peaceful. My son loved the on site, selfserve library and game room - yes they have board and lawn games you can take back to your cabin.

It's a beautiful location, and the cabins are simple, but neat and clean. The rates are very reasonable. You can't beat the view of Lake Superior. I plan to go back!

We loved Bob's and can't wait to go back again. The cabins are small, cozy and very clean. No TV - no traffic noise - just the waves crashing against the rocks. You can sit on your deck or have a camp fire on the rocks. We can't say one bad thing about Bob's - it was one of the most relaxing times we've ever had. We didn't mind changing cabins, either. The cabins are so cute, it was fun to see how the next one was decorated. Bob's is the best!

We stayed at Bobs Cabins for our wedding anniversary. It is so beautiful, very relaxing and very affordable! I loved waking up to the waves of Lake Superior and sitting out by the fire on the rocks at night! I highly recommend going there! I can't wait to return!

By luck my wife and I spent time there and it was a real treat. The owner was very friendly, and it was very clean. The best part was it had no TV. I did not think I would like that at first, but I re-discovered reading. I re-discovered listening, I re-discovered watching nature, and I re-discovered how wonderful it is to spend time with the one you love with no distractions. For a place that has no TV, it has so much more. Enjoy.

If you like clean, comfortable cabins with a great view of Lake Superior. and you enjoy a peaceful setting with fresh air and a low pollen count, Bob's Cabins is the place to go and stay for at least four days. It's convenient to get to from Minneapolis or Duluth, and there is a super market in Two Harbors for essentials. Remember, this is a housekeeping arrangement, so Bob's provides dishes, silverware, linens, etc., and there is a refrigerator, cook stove and delicious tap water. Many people appreciate the site serenity and like the way Bob's is managed. Because the current owner (Bill) understands why people like to stay there, the focus is on assuring that everyone enjoys the restful experience, but people can bike, hike, kayak, canoe or check out the rocky beach, or just relax and catch up on reading. Some will bring a DVD player and movies they own, but have never had time to watch. Things to be aware of: There is no microwave or TV, but you can survive and even thrive without them. There is plenty of firewood if you opt for a wiener or marshmallow roast on the shore-people barbecue, and like good Minnesotans, many even go to town (Duluth, Two Harbors, etc.) for breakfast or dinner. We suggest you contact contact Bill early in the year if you plan to stay there so you have a chance to get the cabin you prefer. There is lots of interest in going there, so get busy and get your reservations made well in advance of when you want to check in. IF you have a trip that requires short notice in locating a cabin, you can still try Bob's as sometimes there may be an opening-it's good to plan ahead though. We start looking forward to our next visit to Bob's when we are driving out of the property and back to Texas. It's fun to be there-I know of no cabins, resort or camping location on the north shore of Lake Superior where I would rather be.

Private and quaint, the first thing I do before I unpack is make a cup of coffee and sit on the rocks. At night watch the ships go by while you roast marshmallows by the fire.

Those who don't need all the electronics, bright lights and noise. What's not to love about a cabin right on the North Shore?? This place is the real thing! Oh - and there used to be a big black lab named Bob. I do not know if he is still with us but he's Bob!
