Jockey Club, Las Vegas

This is a great location and for the price you can't beat it. Some of the best locations are a stones throw away plus if you check the strips location you will see that this location is exactly in the center of the strip. So if its easy access you want this is the place to be. And for those who couldn't stand the construction, CHECK IT OUT NOW. PEACE TO ALL!!!!!

The view from our room was awesome. Location of our bedroom overlooked the fountains at the Belagio. I have never experienced such a great view from a hotel window in my life. Everything is within walking distance.

We have been going to the Jockey Club for almost 30 years. The experience has only gotten better, and the location is now better than it has ever been. Rooms are very clean and well furnished. Service is satisfactory, but available when you need it. To the naysayers and complainers that did not enjoy their stay, my suggestion is definitely stay away and don't come back. That just leaves more room for those of us that love the place. No room for grumps. Unfortunately, the new construction of the Cosmo has changed things at the Jockey Club forever. Granted, the southern view is gone, and their is noise during construction, but we knew that going in. But the noise won't be forever and the experience post-construction can only get better. Visitors to the Jockey Club have two choices. You can accept the changes and still enjoy yourself, or you can complain and be grumpy. For the grumps, please stay away. The rest of us don't need you. Stay at the Bellagio or Paris and see if you can get any better value there. Personally, I can't wait to go back.

location was okay, however the construction issues really overshadowed any good points that we may have been able to get out of our stay. We had stayed there once prior to construction starting and had a nice stay, but I wouldn't bat an eyelash about not staying there again until construction is finished. It wouldn't matter how cheap the rates were.

I had read other people's reviews and was very optimistic about staying here...I even had a back-up reservation at another hotel. This place (including the location)was GREAT. The housekeeping staff was awesome and everywhere you went inside of the building, someone was cleaning. I would get up at 6am to workout and sit in the hot tub and there was a staff member out there every morning cleaning that area as well...even on the weekend! The lobby staff was very helpful in assisting us with choosing dining locations and informing us about free area attractions. The Jockey Club is also very convenient to almost everything on the Strip...we only needed to take the bus Downtown. I am mad at myself for not staying here the other times I have been in Vegas. We stayed ON the construction side, but if you come to really ENJOY Vegas, you'll be so worn out that the noise should not disturb you. I slept like a baby every night. The only complaint I had is that I was not able to reach someone at the front desk one morning about 6:30.

Hated my stay based on the amount on Construction going on. 24hrs a day we experienced Banging, Sawing, drilling,....etc. Stayed for 4 nights and did not get adequate rest. Called to try and relocate but every guest experienced the same noise. I will never stay here again. Hospitality staff was not sympathetic and recommended we get earplugs, where is the safety in sleeping with earplugs?

The rooms are clean and large, the location is perfect. Beaware they are building the new Cosmopolitian Hotel and there is construction work going on.

Our stay at the Jockey Club over Thanksgiving holidays was wonderful. Our view of the Belagio Fountains will always be one of my best memories of my vacation. The staff was friendly, the room clean and my only complaint was that it was too short...

There is construction going on all around the Jockey Club. It is dwarfed on all sides by the construction. Jackhammers begin at 5 AM and continue until dusk. General construction of all kinds continues 24/7. The pool is in perpetual shade from the construction and has a net over the only outside area, the pool, to keep construction debris from hitting swimmers. One has to walk through the smoking area to get to the pool. The parking is either valet, complimentary but fills fast, or on the other side of the strip, behind the planet Hollywood casino and then bused back to the hotel. One can walk from that parking, but it is about 20 minutes of steady walking. Rooms are in two semi-separate buildings. To get from one to the other one has to take an elevator, get out of the elevator on the 2nd floor, walk over wet, new tiles, walk a long hall, go up many steep stairs (with luggage), take another elevator to the appropriate floor. One side faces the Bellagio parking deck, construction and jackhammers. The other side is completely covered by the construction with no light allowed into the windows. However, on that side one can wave to the metal workers, drillers, and pneumatic riviters at all hours of the day and night. Avoid this place! Oh, beds are very comfortable, if you can sleep.

The construction of a new convention center and parking deck next to the Jockey Club is on going 24 hours a day. There was jack hammering at 5 am and metal banging against metal at all hours of the night. The new parking deck was no more then twelve feet from my window. Also if you rent a car don't expect to be able to park it on site while you attempt to sleep. they do not have enough parking and twice I had to park accross the street at Planet Hollywood. Plus our room was on the 7th floor which means we had to take a elevator to the 2nd floor from the lobby,walk down a long hallway,then walk up on flight of stairs,walk down another long hallway to a 2nd elevator that would take us to the 7th floor.
