The staff was terrific. The ice machine didn't work on the 5th floor; however the staff was very accomodating. My family was visiting Birmingham for the Papa John Bowl Game. ECU didn't win however our stay at Ramada Inn was pleasant and convenient to our son and his teammates at the Winfrey. The price and the room were clean and comfortable. Didn't like the smell on the 5th floor when we first arrived. It smell like a bingo parlor but it got better once we said something about it. I will stay again. I love that a waffle house is within walking distance. We were hungry after an 8 hour drive.

Good Value

Value-for-cost is the best thing about this hotel at the rate of $52+tax ($59 total). Use the Coupon books from McDonald's in B'ham. This Inn is quiet, safe, clean, and has breakfast. It's not old, and it's well-kept. Hard to find a room in Birmingham with all of these features in the$50-$55 price range. There are several B'ham options in the $39-$48 range that are not nearly as nice. It's worth the extra $8 to $10.
