It was decent

When we arrived, we were checked in by the lovely Maria. She was very attentive, smiling and very courteous. She promptly checked us into our room. Although we stayed on a non-smoking floor, the smell of cigarettes is inescapable. Fortunately, once we were in our room, the smell didn't follow us in. We had a third floor room overlooking Para-lel street. Which was not a bad thing, but if you are a light sleeper like me, the noises from the street can make for restless sleep. Thank goodness for ear plugs. The decor was standard, nothing fancy. The beds were adequate nothing luxurious. The rooms fair, but clean. Breakfast was included, which helped with per diem expenses. The best part of the the hotel was it's immediate location to the Metro, which we used for the whole week we stayed there. I cannot think of any major dislikes. Besides, we were only in our rooms at night, since the city of Barcelona was way too interesting of a place to not spend the whole day out exploring it.
