We will be back!
This is a lush paradise in the middle of a busy historic city... the setting is beautiful, the rooms are wonderful and the atmosphere was so much better than a hotel!
When you walk in from the parking lot, you see almost an acre of green grass, a gazebo, small pool, and a stone walkway to a brick courtyard. There is a fountain set in the corner, and the porch stretches along the back of the home. Half of the porch is open-air and half is screened in, with comfortable seating, a table lamp and a ceiling fan... a perfect place to relax with a cup of coffee after breakfast.
The Delacroix Room was beautifully furnished with antique furniture and more spacious than I expected. There was a dresser, secretary, and an armiore provided in the room, giving plenty of storage space, and there was still a very open feel to the room.
Short summary... I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else... breakfast is delicious, the home is beautifully furnished and decorated, and the feel is familial... I will stay again when I'm in New Orleans...
