Lakeview Inn And Suites Frederi, Fredericton

For our second trip to NB we stayed at this hotel. Though this hotel is convenient to shopping, that's ALL it really offers. We would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone as it is definitely not worth the money. It should be rated a one (1) star. We stayed for 5 nights and were VERY disappointed with the staff, the room and the service. The rooms were big but smelly (smelt of smoke, musty, stale and flowery spray to try to cover it up). The bed was old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The pillows were old, uncomfortable and yellowed. The sheets were rough on the skin and yellowed. The decor was outdated and raggedy. The furniture was outdated and uncomfortable. It was VERY NOISY all day and night (could hear people above, below, beside and outside the room door plus all the drive-by traffic). The room cleaners pretended to clean, but they only shuffled the dirt around... I know because I tested the room cleaners by leaving dirt clearly and not so clearly for them to see in the bathroom, bedroom and front room. Guess what... most of the spots (even some of the obviously dirty spots) were still dirty when I came back to check after they had so called cleaned every day for 4 days!!! They didn't even clean the bathtub for 4 days even though I had asked them to fully clean the bathroom! So what else was wrong with this hotel? The itsy bitsy fridge didn't work well and didn't cool anything. The room cleaners never cleaned the microwave nor wiped off the kitchenette area the whole time we were there. The front staff were professional but not friendly. The look of the hotel outside makes you think it will be nice on the inside, but it's not. Inside it is old, musty, dirty and not up-dated. I could go on, but frankly it just really isn't worth it!

We visited this location in the summer of 2004. We were most impressed with the service of all staff. They went out of their way to assist you and answer questions. The manager was great helping us figure out how to use our internet connection on our new laptop. Thank you to all the staff.
