Would'nt stay here again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/11/09
Mattress wore out, everytime the other person moved, you moved. Lousy flat pillows. Smallest bathroom ever, not enough room to dress. Breakfast, dried out doughnuts. Housekeeping cleaned room and took one of the pillows, took forever to get another one. Then we had to go to the service desk and pick it up. They cleaned room on Sunday and only had 1/2 roll of toilet paper for 4 people, didn't leave any extra or tissues. Ran out of toilet paper 8AM next morning, this sucks.

Not Recommended
By BR B, 05/27/09
The rooms were small and dirty. Our bedding actually had dirt on it. Breakfast was only cereal, bread and donuts. The milk was warm and the donuts were stale. Not a disasterous experience, but a better value could be found. Was close to new shopping and dining. Good location.

Worst Hotel Experience Ever !
By Brandi, 09/08/08
I evacuated here away from Hurricane Gustav and it was an absolute nightmare. By the second day, I checked my account balace, only to realize that they had charged my 3 night stay (in advace) 3 times. It came out to $745. The owner was very unsympathetic to my needs and I couldn't get it fixed because it was labor day. It took all the next morning to get it fixed. I couldnt leave until it was fixed because after they charged us $745, we only had $22 left in our account. Another reason I didn't like this hotel was that the hallways were so incredibly hot. The halls were not air conditioned, only the windows were open. My non-smoking room also smelled like smoke when we first turned on the a/c. Also while I was there, the maintenance manager tried to make every evacuee that was carrying gas cans on top of their cars or trucks, dump out the gas because he didn't want the gas cans to explode in the parking lot. This is highly illegal, and those are government approved gas cans. The police were called, and the evacuees were allowed to keep their gas. I would never go to this hotel again.

This hotel sucks....Don't Stay Here!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/08
My family and i stayed at this hotel just this past weekend. We showed up at about 5:00 pm. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly and smelled of cigarete smoke. The machine where they scanned the keys for the rooms was not working and we had to wait for them to fix it... Once we were in our rooms it STUNK of sour lemons. The air conditioner was on but was on low heat. HELLO it was HOT in the room. but i guess they didn't care that the heat index was 103 outside. Later that night we called for extra towels and pillows to be a little more comfortable. The front desk clerk informed us that he was not able to provide us with towels or pillows because they did not have any to give out. The T.V.'s were broken, the remotes to the T.V. would not work. The Bed that i was sleeping in had dirt on the sheets. i had to take them off and re-wash them in the laundry mat. The contental breakfast that they say is provided consists of watered down orange juice. and corn flakes. Not to mention they also had donuts that were soggy and GROSS. After a Horrable night i woke up to the cleaning crew at 9:30 am asking if we were ready to go so they could start cleaning the room. (check out time was 11:00 am) after i told them NO!!! they waited out side of the room for us to leave. I would not recommend this roach motel to any one. They over charge for a 1 bed and it is so not worth the stay or your health.

Good for a couple nights
By JamieW, 06/29/08
This hotel was good for the money. The staff was very sweet and helpful. We got a two queen beds room - rather firm beds. The room was quite large which was a plus. However, the counter space with the sink was hard to deal with. I do not know how a room which is supposed to fit 4 people could make it with less than four feet of space around the sink. Especially women who need room to do thier hair. My husband really liked the toilet. He called it a "high roller" whatever that means. Unfortunately, the space with the toilet and shower was not much bigger than a linen closet. For us, the breakfast was fine for the couple days we were there. You get toast, cereal, and doughnuts. Nothing more, nothing less. So if you are looking for a big breakfast, don't look here. We decided we probably would not stay here again... we are a little more vain that what this hotel has to offer I guess. Otherwise, if you just need a place to lay your head- go for it.

Would not go back to that motel if it was the only place left.
By david, 05/05/08
Never got the rooms that we paid for in advance through Travelocity. The clerk tried to blame Travelocity for ordering rooms with one bed instead of two. I had the paperwork with me to prove that the two rooms was supposed to have had 2 queen beds per room for two nights. The clerk said they had no more rooms to move us to. The one girl smirked as I went back to contact Travelocity and said "have a nice day" Travelocity spent over two hours finding a different motel for us and they did a great job and picked up the difference in the motel cost we moved to.

The toilet was not cleaned!!! It was nasty. Not a place that I would ever stay again. It made me wonder about the rest of the cleaning.

GREAT basic motel for the price
By LAURA, 07/05/07
Well, for a 1 star motel, we were prepared for the worst and were very pleasantly surprised. We found a clean, albeit somewhat worn, property that was right down the highway from Fiesta Texas and within one or two exits from many fast-food and chain type sit down restaurants as well as a Wal-Mart SuperCenter. The room was a typical small motel-type room, but our 2 queen sized beds were comfortable and clean, they made the most of the small shower-tub by using a contoured shower rod, and we even got a room with a frig and microwave (although I don't believe all rooms come with them, but it was a great perk, I guess you could request it). The continental breakfast is nothing to go out of your way for - just coffee, juice, packaged donuts, corn flakes, raisin bran and toast - no fruit. But we didn't pay extra for it, in fact this was the least expensive option available when we booked - $63/night AAA rate. So don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this is a 4-star resort. But compared to other basic economy motels, it was definitely a good choice.

Just Acceptable
By Cowpie, 04/13/07
Let me tell you what they offer: Free Local Calls; Free Continental Breakfast (until 10am, I wish it was longer); non-smoking rooms; connecting rooms; and laundry room on location. Being my 2nd lodging experience in Texas, this hotel was just acceptable to the minimum. I learned that the housekeepers are not in labor union like other tourist destinations, so the service is below national average. Yes, I agree with others, the room was really not the cleanest. I can only compare it with my previous stay in a roadside lodge in El Paso. At this motel, the room was stinky and carpet was sticky. Sink was outside of bathroom and too close to the door. The layout was really inconvenient. However, the staff was extremely helpful. That was a big contrast on my overall experience at this Super 8 Motel near Six Flags in San Antonio. If you want to have fun in the summer, this motel is the choice for its convenience to Six Flags, Sea World, SAT airport and Downtown attractions.
