GREAT basic motel for the price
Well, for a 1 star motel, we were prepared for the worst and were very pleasantly surprised. We found a clean, albeit somewhat worn, property that was right down the highway from Fiesta Texas and within one or two exits from many fast-food and chain type sit down restaurants as well as a Wal-Mart SuperCenter.
The room was a typical small motel-type room, but our 2 queen sized beds were comfortable and clean, they made the most of the small shower-tub by using a contoured shower rod, and we even got a room with a frig and microwave (although I don't believe all rooms come with them, but it was a great perk, I guess you could request it).
The continental breakfast is nothing to go out of your way for - just coffee, juice, packaged donuts, corn flakes, raisin bran and toast - no fruit. But we didn't pay extra for it, in fact this was the least expensive option available when we booked - $63/night AAA rate. So don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this is a 4-star resort. But compared to other basic economy motels, it was definitely a good choice.
