Scenic Hills Inn, Branson

We traveling to Branson many times during year but found a gem we have been overlooking. This past week end we made a quick trip to Branson and stayed at the Scenic Hills Inn on Shepherd of the Hills. The room was super clean, well set with coffee, towels also adequate in size. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They serve a very good breakfast with the best cinnamon rolls...

My husband and I stayed 3 days here in Scenic Hills Inn on the first floor,most people on the first floor didn't seem to have a pleasant stay but I was willing to give it a shot! In our arrival we were welcomed to a very kind staff! When we entered our hotel room a light scent of berries filled the room but it didn't overpower! I also had a pleasant surprize finding they have cinnamon rolls! Thanks to the Scenic Hills Inn staff I had a wonderful vacation!

I am here right now staying up listening to water run beside my itchy bed. IMy husband and I are very tired because we were up all night listening to a large dog bark. They should name this place Scenic Inn and Kennel. I brought my own Lysol and have used the can as there are urine and nasty wet dog smells. on top of it I am allergic to dogs so if I would have known dogs were here I wouldn't be here. I can't wait to leave in the morning so we can get home and get some sleep and have clean beds and towels and it smells good. Beware!!!

First and foremost the management staff was EXTREMELY rude. One manager with very broken english through a literal fit over the amount of towels we requested for our room. There was five in our party and four towels. When we asked for more towels she "blew up" and didn't seem to grasp the concept of five towels for five bodies. Second, we paid a pet deposit for our dog to stay with us. On their website it does not give a size or amount limitation of animals allowed. We had one lab with us. At one point seeing the lab, who is still a pup, the manager literally jumped into an empty room to avoid our dog, who has a loud bark but is a LAB! The most people friendly of dogs. It was ridiculous. Third, we paid for a smoking room but had to spend two nights in a non-smoking room because they put us in the wrong room. Basically, I was paying for something I did not receive. The cleaing staff could not speak english and did not understand the simple phrase or "change our linens". True, it is not their fault but communication was a definite problem. Smokers and/or pet owners seem to be treated as second class citizens here. I have stayed here once before and had a good expierence. I guess that was under different management. Under this management I would not reccomend this hotel to Branson visitors when there is such a wide range of options. I will visit Branson again but not will not stay here. It seemed as if we were walking on egg shells and were an inconvience to the mgt. Being away from home is always stressful and I think it is the hotel's responsibility to make their guests feel as welcome as possible. I did not feel this here on this visit. The price is okay, the pool is okay, but the service is lacking in compassion and helpfulness. God forbid you get a pool towel acccidentaly mixed with a room towel. It was that kind of nit-picking that made this stay one I would like to forget. Some lessons I guess you have to learn the hard way, and I did during this stay. I would strongly suggest to check other options before considering this hotel at this time. There is just too many here to suffer at the hands of bad management and lack of compassion and understanding. Go somewhere else!

I rarely stay at not flag hotel and was very pleasantly surprised by the Scenic Hills Inn. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were a comfortable size, clean and looked new. The location is great. Just miles away from our favorite mall and many restaurants & theaters around. Wasn't planning on enjoying my trip to Branson in the middle of the winter, so thanks to the staff at Scenic Hills Inn.

THE ROOM SMELLED!!!! BUT AT THE FRONT DESK THEY TOLD US IT DIDN'T. SO I GUESS MY WIFE AND I SPENT THE NIGHT WITH THE WINDOW OPEN AND THE FAN ON HIGH FOR NO REASON.... IT SEEMS FUNNY TO ME THAT THIS ISN'T THE FIRST COMPLAINT ABOUT STINKY ROOMS. BUT....ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY, THEY DONT REALLY CARE. TAKE MY WORD (AND MY WIFE'S) STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!!

We appreciated the caring, friendly service staff so much. We had car trouble and a staff member gave us a battery jump to get the car started to go get it fixed. The room was clean and the breakfast fantastic. And many breakfast selections were a definite plus for Scenic Inn of Bransson, MO. We would love to stay there again.

The rooms have been completely remodeled. They are the same or even better than many franchise hotels. The service at the lobby was awesome. All my needs were taken care of without hesitation from the front desk staff. The Internet service in room was one of the fastest I have worked with.

was on first floor,everytime someone flushed the toilet you could here water flowing down the pipes next to the bed. thin walls, rude front desk. room smelled of mothballs and urine.

Great owners and very friendly! Quiet, clean, scenic rooms. Breakfast bar well stocked with nutrious items. Thank you for the experience. We'll be back!
