BEST WESTERN Apollo Bay Motel, Cape Otway

Me and family were driving on great ocean road when it started to turn dark. We realised we werent going to make it back to melbourne in time. So we picked up a AAA travel guide and started calling hotels in the area of apollo bay and anglesea.

Only Apollo Bay Motel had space so I made a reservation on the phone ( in an american accent). When I got there and I tried to check in at thr very shabby lobby, they told me a reservation and they still kept trying to chase me away. They said they had left a room for an american lady but not me. I was shocked and I said that i AM the american woman! They finally grudgingly gave me the key (ok me and my family are asian). The rooms were totally blah and old but I guess considering it was only aud50 it was alright. But their rude service and obvious racists behaviour made that night's stay very very uncomfortable. i mean i would stay someone else if it wasnt the only hotel available. So skip this one please.
