It's a hole
By namekyd, 8/9/09
Ok for the record we were in town to party. If you are looking for a place where there is a non-stop party and no real peace and quiet? This is the place. Ok so we booked for 13 people and something like 5 rooms. Nothing was booked and so we spent hte first hour arguing with the "GM" about how we would get a room. I ended up in the "master suite" which the guy claimed was a $400 a night room (LOL). The carpets were disgusting! TV stand but no TV, no phones anywhere, mirror on the head board and the plumming made a sort of "screaming" sound everytime anyone flushed a toilet. There are "ladies of the night" about and I think they have a deal with the managment. I hated to think about what kinds of things took place in that room before our checking in. Overall this place is a total dive. However we were there to drink and party and so you couldn't have asked for much more in that regards, It is pretty clear that the owners don't want the cops called any more than you do and so they aren't going to say much about the noise. I don't recomend this place but there are certain advantages to such a porrly run and poorly maintained hostle (this is a hostle folks don't kid yourself).

We booked for two nights, stayed one.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/5/07
Initial appearance was a letdown from pictures on the internet. The reception by the man on the front desk was not typical of what is normal in canada, uninterested! The rooms stink of years of tobacco smoke. They are basically as clean as it is possible. The younger clients partied into the night then started again at 4.15 a.m. When we checked out a day early the receptionist, male, was `uninterested`. He didn`t want to know why - he had the money already. A disaster - how could anyone honeymoon here????????

Fair Deal, Clean room but we could always find better value!
We looked up Camellot inn on internet and was attracted by its low rates. Its the first motel as you enter the Niagara Tourist centre on Stanley avenue. We were offered a Queen bed with jaccuzzi for $99/night bcoz front desk claimed there were no std rooms left even if 8 hrs before leaving home we checked on internet to be informed that 17 std rooms were vacant. ADVICE: try to book online for the room u afford in case they lie about vacancy to to sell you more expensive rooms! But we admit we bargained a lower rate than what we had to pay online for the offer we got in person. And ask to see the room before you pay, and don't hesitate to say that you would like to explore shop around before coming back. We were too anxious of not getting any more cheap deals that we took the first motel se saw. later on, we saw a lot more attractive rates with better appearances along Stanley Avenue and Clifton Hill. Overall,I would praise Camellot Inn's cleanliness. And I believe not all rooms are the same, bcoz our Queen with jaccuzzi was nothing like the advertised photos. It seems they do have more spacious rooms for all 3 types. We wouldn't mind staying at Camellot's inn again, but we would like to explore other motels if we go again. POSITIVE: The bed and pillows were very confortable. The room and toilet were very clean. They provide adequate towels, for the jaccuzzi and the shower and housekeeping do pass by bcoz we got used towels replaced with clean ones. TV had ample U.S and Canadian channels we usually get at home, to suit all tastes. Even if the motel is located by the road side, it is very much soundproof after closing the room door. NEGATIVE: Our room was very tight, our bed was a few inches from the door! The room still smelled of cigarrette smoke over the airfreshner used by housekeeping. I was a bit claustrophobic, bcoz added to the tightness, there was only a tiny glass window that is not operable. So ventilation was a big problem especially after running the jaccuzzi, and we were tempted to use it only once bcoz in summer it doesn't do much using a jaccuzzi inside a matchbox! But if we open the door for a bit of ventilation, all the noise from the traffic gets in bcoz the motel is located by the road side. I would reccommend re-servicing where needed. The jaccuzzi, drawers and A/C were worn out. Internet was ONLY one desk for all guests and 15 minutes allowed per person. At the time i was staying it was out of order!

Worst room
By r c, 7/17/07
We made the mistake of not reading reviews for this motel before booking. The room was very, very dirty. Cigararette burns everywhere on carpet, sheets, blankets. Long black hairs found on towels, sink, and tub. Staff was very unfriendly and unaccomodating when reported.

do not go to this motel!!!
By Andrea, 11/13/06
We went to the Camelot Inn for our honeymoon. WHAT A JOKE!!!! First off, the room was either freezing or burning hot. The electric went off for no reason, leaving the room once again freezing. The people in the office only work until 10 p.m. so if you have a problem ,like we had, no one was there to help. The room next to ours had a party going on with blaring music and loud screaming people who slammed their door all night. No one was in the office so we had to contact the police ourselves. We had an 8 hour drive home the next day with little or no sleep. We complained the next morning, but nothing was done. It was a horrible experience! I do not recommend this place unless you want your vacation totally ruined!

Can't wait to visit again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/20/06
My family and I stayed just one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The location is excellant not as busy as downtown but not too far that you can't walk to all the sights. The staff was very helpful also. Great value for those of us on a buget that want to have a great vaction too.. If you havn't seen the falls you have to come and stay at The camelot Inn Niagra falls. We will stay again!!!

Terrible
By 단풍, 8/14/06
I strongly recommend you NOT TO CHOOSE this hotel . Room was dirty and smelly and so I couldn't sleep. Bed was so old , and if I sleep on one edge , the other side was lifted with screech . Furnitures including table and sofa were so dusty and smelly , Actually disgusting . Hotel rate was not reasonable. Service was awful ( actually awful is not enough expression , I ever and never met this service so far), When I requested to change room , they didn't change a room, and so When I complained , they even shouted and kept angly to me. Everybody shifted resposiblity on others and kept lying. Eventually I checked out, since there was no option. I do not want to remind this terrible memory any more.

excellent hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/9/05
We had a great time. The hotel staff was very helpful. when we asked where something was they didnt hesitate to pick up their cell phone and find out for us. The previous review someone said there was a hooters right outside the window. This is NOT true. we just stayed there 8/4 - 8/7 and I did not see a Hooters anywhere. The room was clean and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

DON'T COME HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/05
It was gross and it really really smelled! Right outside our window was a Hooters! And the whole room smelled like cat urine from the previous guests. I DO NOT RECCOMEND IT.

Great Value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/27/05
Went for my honeymoon July 27th/04-August 02nd/04. Free jacuzi room upgrade when we mentioned we were honeymooners. Great price as well..... $20 first day if you stay a minimum of 4 days & 3 nights. Was a few mins away from downtown Niagra (walking). I'm miss it, and wish I can go back very soon!!!
