we couldnt get a room at the best western, so we went looking for another motel. i am now glad that we couldnt get a room at the best western, the rooms are spotless, and decor is very interesting .what alovely place to stay the staff are very nice and the hottub was very , very clean .i would recommend this place to everybody. cant wait to go there again in the spring.
The Log Inn has decor that reminds my of my friend's aunt's house - floral decor and lots of white. But the place is ultra clean and the whole motel is pretty new - so I can say by comparing to other places that I've seen in Bonner's Ferry that it's the nicest place to stay there for a very reasonable price. They are also just off the highway enough to be a bit more quiet than other options. No smoke smell anywhere (it's just too clean for that, really!). The owners are very friendly and have a good breakfast snack ready every morning in the office. Do check this place out first, you'll find that the other motels around. I haven't seen the B&B in Bonners Ferry, thought but I assume it costs more. This place will do you right. Only problem is it's not in the downtown area of Bonners Ferry, but frankly you're not missing much...
I have stayed here several times and have found the rooms to be immaculate, the beds are wonderful. The towels are so soft, that I have heard other customers talking about them. The staff is great and accommodating, but perhaps I gave them some notice and a chance to serve me . My daughter was jealous when we told her we would be staying there on our return trip home. We have stayed there with our sons and daughters and their children, so I know they can deal with my large crew!
Don't hesitate to stay at this quality establishment!

Our family recently stayed at the Bonners Ferry Log Inn, what a treat! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotless. Beds are incredibly comfortable and really it just couldn't have been better! We met the owners Jill & David, very gracious hosts and we enjoyed talking to them and seeing their gift shop. Do not hesitate to make reservations at this Inn, you will not be disappointed! The Best Western in town was full, so we tried the Log Inn and what a fortunate turn of events that turned out to be. The Log Inn is about as nice as it gets: The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable; the owners treated us like old friends and were helpful in explaining the area (dinning, excursions, etc.); lastly, the room prices were reasonable. We ended up staying over a week and will return there next time.
We have stayed at the log inn four times since August, 2004. The staff is pleasant but typical of that area they keep to themselves unless you ask them for something. The rooms are neat and clean. The arrangement is like an old time motel with rooms in a line. If you have loud neighbors beware--this has happened once. If you don't want to tell them yourself to be quiet then ask for a room away from the other guests (the motel desk closes at 10pm sharp). They have coffee and sweet bread in the am and a quaint gift shop. The rooms are reasonable and beat the other option in town by a mile.
We recently stayed at a AAA preferred lodge named the Log Inn located in Bonners Ferry, ID.
Check out time is 11:00 AM, we notified them at 10:30 that we would require at least another hour to 1.5 hours to shower and vacate. We understood that a fee may apply and if necessary we would pay for an addition nights stay - we just did not want to be rushed on our last day of vacation.
We were told that we must be out because the room was booked for a 1PM check in for another customer and we could "absolutely not stay passed the checkout time". After removing our belongings and returning the key I complained to the owner that I thought that they were not accommodating to my needs - He didn't care and told me not to return.
I'm not sure why but they were not very friendly, didnt say hello, not well trained in customer service, and didnt care when we complained. When we said we wouldn't come back, their only response was "fine", it didnt seem to bother them at all - and they weren't full either. My family is from Bonners Ferry so ALOT of people will no longer be staying there (out of town relatives). I usually stay at small places when I travel - in general- but next time I'll just go to the Best Western near the river.
