'No good excuse'

I will start with the 'like'
...upon check-in the desk clerk was very efficient, kind and helpful....We initially asked for two nights...then realized we needed an extra night....due to unfinished business...CERTAINLY NOT for the ammenities ...or lack thereof..because:
1ST-BEDS-Are at LEAST 10years old & are just plain wore out!
2.-LINENS-Wore out...Bath towels....well lets just say , too small;worn....
3.Carpet, furniture outdated
4.NO lighting in parking lot/not a safe feeling AT ALL!!
5.When trying to extend our stay (ONLY because everywhere else was booked.)the 2nd shift clerk was not even friendly...and told us he could NOT extend our stay because it was Friday???and he needed the room "in case" a/c went down in another room??? I understand Weekends are higher and am willing to pay extra..he said they had to 'hold a certain number of rooms' and referred us to motel6? Please someone, help me understand??Does this make any sense at all???here we are a guaranteed customer willing to pay weekend rate...in a nut shell..it appeared they were holding out for late night weary travelers willing to pay any price for a night of sleep????There was no good explanation, so, I am left to wonder.
I would NEVER have written this,it truly is not my nature, but, when I see myself and [potentially] someone else being wronged, I believe we should speak up while we still have a voice.
